What kind/colour of boots? Shoes? It's nicer than the pic and is very flattering.
If you hate it, you've no need to tell me, just scroll by.

I have just ordered it in a 14 - praying it fits! I have big boobs and sometimes buttons can be a nightmare... What's the sizing like OP? x

It's nice, it wouldn't suit me but if you have have the height, great. I think it would look nice with a loose fitting waistcoat and boots, alternatively you could wear it with trainers and thin long line cardi.

thin longline cardigan with those puffy sleeves?

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 02/09/2025 11:54

I've got a similar dress that I've been wearing with sparkly sliders during the summer and plan to wear it in the autumn/winter with my suede burgundy or brown leather boots.

Gettingbysomehow · 02/09/2025 13:02

I think the dress itself is a statement piece, it doesn't need styling really, maybe just some jewellery and I agree the models jacket.

flaks · 02/09/2025 13:14

very nice dress. Khaki or grey suede boots could also work.

GoldDuster · 02/09/2025 13:33

Love it. Boots, tights and a thin wool slim fitting v neck under it, nothing over it unless sleeveless waistcoat thing. Then sandals in spring. You could get loads of wear out if this. Tempted.

Light tan boots!

Love the dress. I can’t wear denim due to sensory issues but it looks amazing.

Tan boots or ankle boots .
And for now I’d wear it with trainers as it’s not cold enough for boots .
And ….humph …it’s sold out online in my size as blooming usual .
They never have my size in store either (3 M&S stores that have clothing that I can get to , even if 2 aren’t that easy to get to )

I know. Everything is always sold out online and in store in every size apart from 6 and 26. Something’s gone wrong.

I brought this on Saturday it's so flattering! I would probably put myself in the small size 16 category but brought a 14 and I feel so lovely in it.

lindyloo57 · 02/09/2025 17:34

It's sold out in petite, as everything seems to be at the moment, must be its the 20% off offer at thr moment, I tried to get a pair the front pocket jeans, they have been out of stock for months, as soon as they had stock they are sold out again.

Karistyleaftea · 02/09/2025 17:51

It is lovely, is it quite a light weight of denim?
Just asking as I get ever so hot in thicker materials.

PosiePetal · 02/09/2025 17:53

Love it. Would wear with tights and my flat, brown leather lace up ankle boots.

I’ve seen this in store a couple of times and really like it but I get bloody cold and I’d need long sleeves underneath it which would ruin the look 😭
It’s a nice dress though, I do think brown goes nicely with denim.

I’m the same and would wear it with a Breton top underneath so that the navy stripes are poking out from the sleeves and neck.

It's not really heavy denim, but not really light either if that makes sense? The skirt sits beautifully.

I must have been lucky @lindyloo57 , I managed to order the petite last week.

Size 10 petite in stock

Omg I love this dress!!

Cani ask how it fits? I'm between a 12 and 14 so should I size up.or down?

I have some tan suede knee high boots I wear with it but I think most knee high or cowboy style boots would work.

I'm a 12/14 too and I got the 12 petite (I'm 5'2') and it fits perfectly.

If you put it on your wishlist and keep checking it, it will probably become available again. I managed to get hold of a pair of trousers last week, that I’d been wanting for months. I think M&S are still struggling a bit with their IT and stock levels.

TitaniasAss · 02/09/2025 19:01

ToadRage · 02/09/2025 10:56

Because it's a midi dress and midi dresses do not suit short people. Even if you alter it to fit, the midi style just stops in totally the wrong place making a short person look even shorter.

Edited

I respectfully disagree, I think providing a garment suits your proportions, you can wear pretty much anything.

It's lovely isn't it, I never seem to find dresses that I love.

Nice dress, I would wear with burgundy suede slouchy boots and a chunky scarf. Or birkies and socks maybe.

Goatalone · 02/09/2025 19:30

I’m such a sheep, I’ve just bought it. Had a voucher to use so it feels like I got it for free!

That dress has a real 1970s vibe. I'd be tempted to style it with tan or brown cowboy boots like these from Zalando. But I love 1970s fashion.
