@lunar1 I’ve just looked at the Yepoda calendar but can’t see a list of the contents - am I being silly or does the website not say what’s inside?

@ChildrenOfTheQuorn I think Beauty Advent Calendars and Beauty Detective have the details of last years, I think their holiday boxes are more popular.
I am there next month and have ordered this, think it came to just under £100 as I signed up the rewards scheme.

@ChildrenOfTheQuorn this was Bloomingdale’s last year. The price isn’t listed but it was comparable to our higher end ones - maybe 300 dollars - and most of the products are small sizes.

I had that one last year, it was excellent value and that was even though I took out all the items I didn't want and donated them to a charity raffle along with some other goodie bag er goodies I had.

Re: Yepoda - if you click on the numbered boxes at the end of the advent calendar page, it shows pictures and sizes. It’s a really cute calendar.

I have just watched the Boots skincare and premium unboxing videos - both calendars seem pretty good, but the skincare one seems more aimed at the teen market and both contain far too many cleansers.

I do like them, though.

Also watched Sephora - full of minis and Cult B - better, but still full of small sizes.

I bought the Granado perfume. It came this morning. It's really nice, exactly my sort of scent. Smells a lot like Vanilla Powder to me if anyone is familiar with that, which is an odd choice for Liberty because they also put VP in the calendar.

Also bought AB eye cream, got one for £30 which was about as high as I was willing to go, and the La Mer lip balm. From Harrods I bought the La Prairie cleanser.

I'm the same. Up until this week everything was a bit flat but suddenly, and maybe because they are releasing, I'm now contemplating 4. 😱

I think I'll try and stand firm on not buying Glossybox but I keep going back and forth on SNK. I have SNK vouchers built up so would 'only' pay 200.

I'm a bit ridiculous, I was ridiculous last year, told myself I wasn't going to be again and here we are. 😂

Maybe 3 (totally ignoring H fragrance and the pre existing Shiseido) is borderline acceptable if I organise myself and get everything I don't want listed on Vinted like it's a military level operation.

I have found the perfumes smell different on me through the seasons too. Received the Thameen Bravi last summer and it smelled amazing on me then sour come October. Got it back out this summer and it smells great on me again.

Those of you travelling to to the US soon the Ipsy calendar looks like it has potential.

I am not familiar with the smells of any of the Liberty scents - is Granado good? I maybe shouldn’t be looking at more perfumes seen as I have the fragrance calendar but I could be tempted. 😆

I have seen a few of the AB eye creams for around the £50 mark on there too.
I ended up buying the MZ skin eye cream, even though it is in my Harrods calendar, as someone had it listed for £8! I am using an MZ skin serum at the moment and it is one of the best I have tried - it gives a lovely glow that lasts all day.

Sephora pre-order is now live- I don’t know if that’s new or not but I just had an email telling me.

I think that’s a good way of looking at it 😆. And of course you can’t count the 12 day calendars as they’re not meant to be opened until 25 December, so they’re not really advent calendars. Thst what I’m telling myself anyway 😆

Just joining this thread. I got Liberty yesterday & looked in each box 🙂. I’ll wait till Dec to open properly though. There seemed to be several perfumes.
I’m hoping Vogue does a good one this year 🤞

I was in prime condition to buy this year, cancelled my beauty pie subscription at the start of the year and have made great progress on using up my stash this year, only made a couple of beauty box purchases, and worked my way through last year's Space NK calendar. However, none of the offerings this year are getting me excited. I judge them by how much it is worth to me rather than the value, so if I would normally pay £20 for a moisturiser then I count any moisturiser as £20. Anything I don't want is £0. So far the totals are not adding up to the value of the calendar for me.

The MZ eye cream was one of my favourite things from the Liberty advent last year, it’s definitely made a huge difference to me! I’ve stocked up with another 2 from Vinted too!!

I checked my Liberty advent yesterday, all ok and I’m actually really excited having reminded myself of the contents again! Not sure I’ll like the perfumes but will wait and see what they’re like on the day! Im also seriously considering Space NK, does anyone know when that’s being released? I’m on the waiting list but would be good to have an idea of when to expect the email!

I’m really disappointed this year. I was planning to buy Sephora but I’ve gone off that idea now. My only hopes (but not great ones) now are Debenhams, M&S and OK Beauty. But if they don’t appeal I’ll have an AC free Christmas. 😢

That is so pretty @OvaHere & I would love it if Liberty did something like that on their calendar but more like a busy bustling Christmassy street scene & then you enter their store & throw in some snow & have Santa flying overhead in his sleigh into the night!

LIBERTY if you read these threads & think ooooh what a great idea & use it then I want my consultancy fee!

Vogue contents should be revealed this week if last year’s timeline is anything to go by. I’m looking forward to seeing it.
