@OvaHereAre you sure you are not my twin…I looked at the Glossybox unboxing this morning and am now tempted as would like quite a few of the more spendy items and surprised they had not included the perfume in the spoilers over some of the other items.
The boxes also looked quite big so box could be reused for my DIY one.

@MrsBnow12 I may be yes. 😁It does have some decent size boxes for reuse. They are flimsy I recall so be careful opening them. The outer box is good storage. I have most of my make up in last years. It's a bit grubby now so I could replace the old one. 👀

I'm mainly tempted because my subscriber discount still seems to be active, at least it was when I tested it with the summer bag, I cancelled the sub back in March but is still working.

First spoilers for Holland & Barrett. No surprises in the content but at £50 it has to be the cheapest advent of the year. On sale next week for reward members

I am definitely tempted by Glossybox for the first time ever. I am just hanging on for OK to release their contents as it Is a similar price point.

So…..for me it’s a toss up between Sephora (Grown Alchemist face scrub is a big pull and the Sol de Janeiros will be gifted) or John Lewis (I love lip products and eye creams and I think JL has more fragrance).
Last year I got LookFantastic and Next Luxury, which just don’t appeal to me this year.
Might be tempted by the H and B as a second AC.

Glossybox does look quite good for a cheaper priced calendar. I have Harrods fragrance and Harrods beauty coming though so really don’t need it. Would recommend to anyone who wants a nice beauty calendar but doesn’t want to pay a fortune though.

Those of you that have ordered some Liberty calendar bits from Vinted, what have you gone for?
I have ordered the lipstick as it looks a nice subtle shade once applied and have also ordered the Votary serum for a bargain £15!
I plan to put these products in a couple of the more disappointing days of my Harrods advent.

I have also just ordered myself a little 5ml bottle of the EGF power serum for £10 to go in with the tiny SPF as otherwise that will be a very disappointing day

I’ve bravely looked at Liberty, found the four things I don’t want (three hair products and a body thing) and DH is going to get them out. I don’t know what Elasticizer makes on Vinted but I suspect the general market for the hair stuff isn’t huge. I’ll have a look for the body product. Otherwise DD can have them.

I’m quite torn - Glossybox looks great and affordable (subscribe for DD) but I’ve now got about 14 products for a DIY for DD. I MIGHT plunder Glossybox for things to put in Liberty and swap them for some of the stash. It’s all good stuff and more suitable for her than the Glossybox skin products so I reckon that’s a good option. Or I could wait for a really good edit and finish off a DIY calendar for her AND replace Liberty drawers.

I watched the unboxing of the liberty and after originally not being impressed I actually quite like it. There's only 3/4 items I won't use (the makeup) so if it's still in stock when my next credit drops I'm going to go for it.

Reading the contents list has made me excited again. It really is the one I’ve liked the most so very thankful indeed for that given I committed to it last year by joining BD!

I've ordered the Granado Esplendor perfume from the Liberty calendar, I'm not sure if there's anything else I want. I wouldn't mind the Augustinus Bader The Rich Eye, but it's currently listed at over £50, if I can get it for £30ish, then I'll grab it. It's in 2 advent calendars, so I think there's a chance I can get it 😁

Does anyone have a list of the release dates for the calendars? If not, I might need to create one so I can keep an eye on the things I want to grab on ebay 🤔

Totally agree with this. I've took all my boxes out, looked inside, put them back and thought 'Meh' The candle is tiny (I also had to Google a photo to get the boxes back in the right places, Krypton Factor style) Anyway, it's packed away now until December when I might hopefully be all surprised again by the contents.

Don't like the first 5 items in H&B. Hopefully they are saving more exciting items for later reveal.

Off to look at Glossybox unboxing.

I felt quite similar when I got Anthropologie. Looks beautiful but the contents are underwhelming.

I'm tempted to buy the Next premium one just for the box. It's my favourite box design this year, the contents weren't enough to sway me from Harrods though 😕

It looks to be full of minis, though and the eye patches, masks, mirror don’t really appeal.

I would have been far more interested if it had included a bit of makeup and was a bit cheaper, (or had bigger sizes!)

I randomly watched Cosmetopia running through the first CB calendar the other day (think it ran on from something else) and she was saying how great it was to have a pastel box that was different from all the ‘usual’ colours. To my mind, the rot started there! (I know some like those colours obviously).

I'm thinking along the same lines as you, if I could swap the fragrances in Sephora with the ones from John Lewis, Sephora would be an easy yes. As it is, I'm still not 100% sure.

I looked at Space NK again and I think it might be the best value buy this year (again), but I just don't really want it (perhaps cos I had it last year).

Glossybox has a few nice items, but overall an easy no for me. Eltoria is so unbelievably irritating too.

I have buyers remorse about Anthropologie now.
I want to get LF fragrance and SNK for DD. Plus I have £85 in CB rewards so with the £20 gift card early bird offer, that would be a bargain- the limited edition one (despite the awful palette) not the classic. and the GB does look good too. But I can’t buy everything!

I was doing so well last week too! Didn’t want any of them 😂

I think there was some talk about American advent calendars. Are there any worth buying? I'm actually going on holiday there soon so could factor the US versions into consideration.
