@IlovePond yeah, I swap and change too depending on what's next in my box 😊 or sometimes I just skip to the one I'm most excited to try.

@kerstina I've heard good things about the Ct magic cream, do you think it lives up to the hype? If it didn't contain silicons would you rebuy?
What did you hate about tatcha the dewy skin? I wasn't expecting to like it, I'd started to think that the colours of tatcha made it more targeted at teens, but I did like it and thought it was hydrating. I think it's overpriced and overhyped though.

Yes I would repurchase CT water cream and serum if it doesn’t have silicons. If I ever run out of my AC / BB stash lol. Tatcha the dewy crème always ends up making my skin flaky. Not a good look!

kerstina · 08/10/2025 08:10

Just googled the CT water cream and it does not contain silicons it also says it is a cross between a gel and a cream which surprises me as I usually hate gels like Clinique ones. The test for saying I liked the magic water crème and serum was when I got back from walking the dog my skin still looked dewy and that doesn’t usually happen . Damn I think I have talked myself into getting more !

Edited

Damn! 🤣 It sounds good though, I'll have to give that a try.

That's funny you say that about tatcha the dewy skin, I've been using it, literally just used the last bit this morning and I've noticed today that my skin is a bit flaky. I've been trying to hydrate it with face oil on a night. Anyway, I'm onto the next moisturiser from tomorrow 😁

The hourglass tubing mascara is incredible, it stays like nothing else, looks great and is easy to remove.

There's an Elf one with a green lid that is a dupe - almost as good and a LOT cheaper.

My routine is

AM
-Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Intense
-Dermalogica Biolumin-C serum (sometimes swap out for Naturium Vit C)
-Murad retinol youth renewal eye serum
(Augustinus Bader The Serum when I feel like a treat)
-Whatever face cream I am working my way through, currently using Aldi Dupe of Elemis Marine Cream but not a fan, I’ll use it up but not repurchase. I’ve also used CT Magic Cream which I like and have repurchased but I feel this is more of a winter cream. I keep going back to Elemis Marine Cream.

PM
-Cleanse with micellar water then either Elemis cleansing balm or Kate Somerville goats milk
-Elemis marine oil the odd time I remember
-Elemis pro collagen marine mask (wash off after 10 minutes) twice a week
-Elemis pro collagen night cream, Elemis overnight matrix or Laneige Bouncy & Firm (I love this)
-Once in a blue moon I remember to use toner, when I do it’s the Elemis apricot one. QUESTION- does it actually make a difference/is it worth using daily?
-Most nights I use my Aldi lip oil which is a dupe of CT (I also use this when out and about if I don’t want lipgloss or lipstick)

I’m going to start a new routine once my current supply finishes, I have so many things to work through and I know that I need to use more hydrating and line reducing products. I am particularly keen to try the Medik8 products I’ve got. I am also keen to try the eye creams from the BACs.

I’ve recently got The Ordinary glycolic acid, as I’ve read this is good for the skin on your legs & bikini area.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 08/10/2025 18:44

Does anyone use any Theramid products? I never see them mentioned but their products look pretty good.

OvaHere · 08/10/2025 19:15

@MrsBnow12 glad to see another Aquafons fan. I love that stuff.

@DidILeaveTheGasOn I don't think I've ever tried anything.

Just seen an ad for the SNK Hero Edit on SM but can't see it on their site. Does anyone know if it's sold out or on its way? I might be tempted...

This is currently showing back in stock on Space NK if you are still inteteted in it

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 08/10/2025 21:53

Amazon prime deals - anyone got anything good? I bought 3 bottles of Ameliorate bath milk (I'm obsessed with that stuff) and some This Works leg scrub. Looked at lots of serums and things but wasn't totally grabbed.

I was very well behaved for me and just bought one thing. I've not been a fan of Kerastase S&C but I've seen lots of people rave about this night serum. It's expensive so I took a chance on it with a decent discount.

@MrsBnow12 Thanks, I’ve just bought the SNK edit. Not that I need it given all my BACs and other stash. But I want to try the Medik8 and I had £25 on my account so couldn’t resist

Boots also have 20% off some Elemis balms - and you'd collect points

MentyB · 09/10/2025 10:25

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I'm looking at some dupe perfumes and wondered which company people recommend? Everything I've seen is very hit and miss.
