@BakeOffRewatch I went on a bit of a googling and shopping spree - found many recommendations for products that are now discontinued, I suppose that's the joy of the internet for you! But also found some in stock items to try.

Lisa Eldridge Gloss Embrace lip gloss - shade Dragon
Lisa Eldridge Luxuriously Lucent lip colour - Painterly - this is a plum-chocolately colour but the reviews were really good so it might be a great alternative for reddy orange colours
MAC Frost Lipstick: CB96: Pinky orange with pearl, and same product in Plum Dandy owing to reviews on the plum product from Lisa Eldridge - never gone for a plum before so for some reason today I went for it twice.

If you're interested I'll let you know how they turn out.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 04/10/2025 19:16

Oh the gisou ones do look nice. Hmm.

TragicMuse · 04/10/2025 19:44

I’m going to spend my £10 at spaceNK tomorrow! I think it’s going to go towards a bit of makeup. I mentioned mascara upthread but I have about 4 to try!

So maybe a nail varnish or a white/light clarifying eye pencil.

BakeOffRewatch · 04/10/2025 19:45

Oh yes please @DidILeaveTheGasOn , I love Lisa Eldridge have some of her Insanely Saturated lipsticks. I always feel like if I’m spending that much on a lip colour it should be something fancy, even though I use lip balms and gloss every day.

I nearly ordered too based on her review but stopped myself as I wouldn't be able to buy the HN fragrance advent calendar. It does sound really good. I like the idea of the fire and snow sachets 😍

Have you tried the Dr Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel Pads? The Dr Levy Fire and Snow sound like that. The Dr Dennis Gross ones are amazing, but I only bother for occasions. I don’t need my skin to look that good everyday 😂

No unfortunately not, i once saw them on tkmaxx but didn't realise what a great product they're meant to be. By the time I'd researched them and pondered, they'd sold out.

They do special deals on them around Chinese new year and they sell huge multi packs you can get in the 20% offers at Cult Beauty and Space NK or 10% off at Liberty. I can’t remember when I got them but they made my skin look flawless overnight. I’ve tried to find out what the ingredients are in the second wipe lots of times as I just want what’s in that. I’m quite anti acid or anything exfoliating.

small packs are quite often included in edits, it’s unusual for them but to be in any advents this year.
I use them around once/twice a week, in order to make them last longer I cut them in half and get two two uses out of each one.

I've had a trial pack of them before but didn't keep them. I'm wary of anything that might cause a rosacea flare and assumed they would be harsh. Am I wrong about that?
I can cope with using SR Good Genes about once a week. How do they compare (if you've used GG obvs)?

I used a pack of five daily once a few years ago when I had much more reactive skin and they made my skin look amazing. The acid wipe was a bit tingly, but then the second wipe made my skin look dewy, glowy and perfect. It sort of neutralised the acid effect too. I think I might repurchase next time there’s a discount offer and I will report back.

OvaHere · 04/10/2025 21:38

Thanks @BakeOffRewatch if I happen upon some again I might give them a try then.

Send me a PM and I will pop a few in an envelope for you to try.
My skin can be a bit temperamental and doesn’t like Vit C or retinal but can cope with Good Genes and the DDG pads but only use them once or twice a week.

I've not seen them in tkmaxx since, but hopefully they'll be in an edit or something soon. I'm tempted to try to get the Dr Levy fire and snow on vinted, although I really shouldn't as I've spent so much recently and have my hbeauty visit tomorrow 🙈

I saw the Dr Levy ones and am also trying not to buy them as I have a stash of around 20/30 of the DDG ones.

🤣 So hard to resist!

Doubleraspberry · 04/10/2025 22:06

I had a peek on Vinted and the 5 packs tend to go for £8/9. Tempted!

Ask them for photos of the expiry date x

MrsBnow12 · 04/10/2025 22:27

Are the Dr Levy ones new, I had never heard of them until they appeared in the recent Cult Beauty edit?

OvaHere · 04/10/2025 22:31

I'd hadn't heard of them until recently. They're also in the Face the Future Xmas edit.

Two Shiseido beauty bags plus GWP. £180 and £115.

The cheaper bag falls just short of the £120 spend to get the GWP but if you like the Vital Perfection cream it's not a bad deal as the cream is a 50ml which is £114 to buy separately.

The £180 bag has a 50ml full size of Ultimune serum as well as the 50ml face cream.

Shiseido do 15% key worker discount (don't know if it works with these sets) and TCB is 15% today (Shiseido has always worked on TCB for me)

I have spent my SNK voucher on an hourglass mascara.

Tried the two I had from previous beauty boxes and they were very much no. One was that salute to the sun, other was bare minerals I think. Both very clumpy and with a huge brush.

I’m looking forward to this tubing one in espresso. It will be softer than black.

It'd mean I could justify a treat😂

I used the Mantle miracle mask from the Liberty Ultimate gwp last night and have to say I'm impressed. I didn't even apply as much as I should, as I decided to sleep with it on. This morning my skin definitely looked brighter and more even than it normally does.

Not sure. TCB is very hit and miss for me. I just consider it a bonus if it actually works.
