Has anyone found a code that works on the recent Latest in Beauty box?

For the Beauty Week Box?
BBW10 for 10%off and free delivery (I haven't tried it), but if you are a pro member it should give 15% automatically.
Or maybe keep an eye on tiktok, sometimes they have random discounts.

Going off topic here, but you're all so knowledgeable about skincare, I wondered if I could get some advice please?

DH has rosacea, does anyone here have this and can recommend any products?

I love buying products, but have oily skin, so looking forward to getting stuck in to buying things for him!

What type does he have? Mine was very bad through late 30's- early 40's but the worst of it responded to a prescription cream called Soolantra which was a game changer. That cleared up the scaliness/scabs and pustules I used to struggle with and hasn't returned.

It didn't fix the redness but that I can keep to a manageable level by avoiding food and drink triggers (e.g no red wine for me) wearing SPF and decent barrier products for moisture. I still get flare ups - sometimes it's hormonal and sometimes trying a new face product will have an adverse reaction.

There are some ingredients I will reach for to calm it a bit. Cleanser, masks and serums with Centella Asiatica help a bit with soothing. I really like Laneige Cica overnight mask which is a go to if I want less redness in the morning.

Some people find Azelaic Acid products help, The Ordinary do a good, cheap 10% one. Others find Niacinamide helps. It's a bit of trial and error I'm afraid as everyone's mileage varies.

In terms of cover up the best I've tried is the green Erborian CC cream or Dr Jart Cicapair Tiger grass colour corrector. I prefer Erborian but both work and Dr Jart is a bit less like a make up product which might suit your DH more. Both really tone down redness.

I didn’t have rosacea but the one product I tried that helped with any inflamed areas on my face was ever calm global protection by REN not sure if they still make it though

Christmaschristmas · 11/10/2025 09:56

@OvaHere Thank you, that's really helpful, thank you for taking the time to write such a useful post.

I've already recommended going to the GP to try Soolantra, so good to hear that helped.

Am only getting involved as I think it's getting him down a bit!

Will definitely look into the other products you've recommended. I didn't realise there were different types, so going to do some more research.

Thanks again, such a lovely helpful bunch on here 😊

Christmaschristmas · 11/10/2025 09:57

@kerstina Thank you, I'll look into that too. I've probably had it at some point through a beauty box and sold it! 😆

OvaHere · 11/10/2025 10:28

@Christmaschristmas keep encouraging him, I can understand him getting down about it. It really affected me for the best part of a decade. Especially when untactful people (often kids!) would point out how bad it was. I even tried laser treatments and antibiotics but Soolantra worked miracles on the worst aspects. Quickly too, cleared up in a month.

I think it's one of the reasons I've become so into skincare and make up now. I felt like crap for a long time, nothing seemed to work and it seemed like a waste of many years when otherwise I could have felt good about myself. I didn't invest in much nice skincare or make up because there seemed no point.

Beauty but not purchase related question.
what are your skincare routine when away on a beach holiday.
I am currently using Sunday Riley am/pm sets which includes Vit C, glycolic acid and retinols, so I am planning on leaving those at home but not sure what to replace them with other than SPF 🤔

Pretty much like home but with minis. I don't worry too much about actives though. Last time I took a travel size Vit C and a tiny 7ml of AB retinol serum. Both ran out I think but as long as I had the basics I wasn't too bothered. I mostly wanted hydrating and soothing stuff.

I have type 1. I would recommend him going to see a dermatologist t a private clinic. Its pricey but my GP just dismissed me and I believe the waiting lists are long to see a dermatologist through the NHS.
I used soolantra and it definitely improved the texture but it takes time and can be a little drying. I also had sessions of laser but very pricey and the results are only temporary.

The cost for the initial consultation and private prescription was around £150 but worth it as it was making me miserable which the GP just dismissed.
He should always use spf 50 as well as the sun is a trigger for a lot of people.
Good luck.
♥️

paristotokyo · 11/10/2025 12:52

@HolaLollaa hydrating mist, hydrating/soothing serum and some sort of barrier repair moisturiser. Wouldn’t bother taking any actives. I was recently sunburnt on a recent trip (first time ever getting burnt during a day of snorkelling) and I was glad to have my
most soothing skincare with me!

Cult beauty are also doing a skincare holiday edit https://beauty-detective.com/cult-beauty-the-supreme-skin-edit-2025/

I'm not interested in the others but I think this one looks good, mainly for the Bioeffect. But it depends on price.

They're really throwing them out! That's 3 that are coming soon.

This one will be popular for the Bioeffect. A few people on this thread will probably be pleased by that.

@OvaHere Thank you, I will keep encouraging him to go to the GP to try Soolantra.

He always looks lovely to me, and I don't notice it at all, but I think he is self conscious of it.

Just had a lovely afternoon, I've ordered him the Laneige night mask, La Roche Posey Toleriane cleanser, Dr Jart soothing repair cream and colour corrector.

Will have to teach him how to use now, as he doesn't really do skincare! He thought a mask meant he actually had to wear a mask to sleep in! 😂

Am glad that yours cleared up and it's nice that you get to enjoy skincare and makeup now ❤️

Christmaschristmas · 11/10/2025 15:36

@Doglover73 Thank you, I'll see how he gets on with his new skincare and the GP, but will definitely bear in mind seeing a private GP if no joy.

He has been to the GP before and was prescribed something that wasn't Soolantra, but it didn't help that much.

If you don't mind sharing, what did the private GP prescribe for you which helped? No worries if you'd rather not say.

We're on holiday at the moment and it's definitely flared up, so he can finish the sun cream when we get home! 😂

Louisetopaz21 · 11/10/2025 15:50

Does anyone have a referral code for look fantastic please?

Christmaschristmas · 11/10/2025 15:58

@Louisetopaz21 RACHEL-R21EC

OvaHere · 11/10/2025 15:58

@Christmaschristmas I bought Soolantra on a private prescription via Superdrug after my GP was less than sympathetic. It was expensive, upwards of £50 I think (it's been a few years) I only ever ended buying 2 and probably didn't need the 2nd as it cleared up quickly and didn't return.

I should stress though this was the scaliness, scabs and pustules element. There are different types of rosacea and sometimes you can be dealing with more than one type. I'll always have the red, flushing type I think. That just has to be managed but I have many more good days than bad now.

Hope some of the things you've bought help your DH.
