Oh you beauty !! Thanks @Branster . See I knew I was not going mad , well not in regards to that anyway

Branster · 20/09/2025 08:00

I received mine yesterday and absolutely love it.
I did cave in a bought the previous edit with the Shiseido minis a while back after dithering for a while.
Interesting LiB have started offering a more grown up selection and it's not all 'trending' nonsense.
Also in their tiktok shop if the code doesn't work anymore. On TikTok, for me, it comes up with 15% off and £5 off both offers stacked

BakeOffRewatch · 20/09/2025 08:01

I bought the Cult Beauty Skintellectuals Edit in September 2024. https://beautyadventcalendar.net/cult-beauty-the-skintellectual-edit/

I’ve just started using these two, brands I haven’t used before, and really rate them.

Fig is refillable skincare, I’m really happy with the potency versus price point. Has anyone else used the brand? Think I might try more. It doesn’t even come up in the Cult Beauty app search, I have to go through google, so I wonder if it’s one of those brands that’s all substance over style and we’re missing it!

Still got this one to use as well, a brand I haven’t used before but have seen @OvaHere rate it on here before.

Interesting how 30ml was called deluxe last year and now called full size.

Branster · 20/09/2025 08:02

Definitely not going mad @diamondsandrose 😂 But I know what you mean.
I started taking screenshots of stuff like this for when I get time to decide what to do. Otherwise, like you, I can't find the details anymore and think I was imagining it.

IlovePond · 20/09/2025 08:43

Can’t remember if it’s been mentioned on here, but no7 are doing a bundle of skincare for £55 which comes down to £35 with code: BEAUTY20

https://www.no7beauty.co.uk/offers/your-everyday-skincare-routine.list?

Obviously I didn’t need any of this stuff, but got it anyway as am looking to explore‘cheaper’ alternatives to EL, etc.

You also get a free mask and bag - have to remember to select these from the dropdown menu at checkout.

Going though Quidco gets you cashback, (I didn’t), and if you fill in your profile on the no7 site apparently you get another £2 off, (didn’t do that either 🙈)

And whilst I'm catching up properly a big thank you to @OvaHere regarding the Medik8 new collagen cream, such a kind offer, thank you very much.
Since your message, I popped in to SpaceNK to pick up a small order (very boring, The Ordinary GF serum I'm keen to try and I had a short term voucher plus they had a reduction on this brand. It took a lot of willpower not to buy the nice SNK edit and a whole load of other beautiful magical things).
I asked about the cream and they gave me a sample which I can't wait to try.
It turns out DH has his own SNK account. They made him do it at some point because he goes and gets me presents from there regularly. I guess they might recognise him and they see him coming. But, to be fair, I've never been disappointed and clearly the ladies in the shop are very good at making recommendations. He doesn't know what NDulge means and deletes all their emails. And it turns out he has lots of points!!!! I always use my own points and barely got any over the last year. He told me to do whatever I want he's not interested and doesn't care he just wants to go in the actual shop and get whatever they give him and breathe a sigh of relief because I actually genuinely really like the presents. I think I might use his points to order the collagen cream after I try the sample.

That's so funny that he was just obliviously sat on all those points. It's the sort of thing my DH would do. Glad you found a way to try it out.

@IlovePond that's a good deal on the No7. I quite like their new range, the cleanser is very good and a fantastic dupe for the Skin Rocks cream cleanser.

I've got the day serum, eye serum and a sample pot of the night serum to try out courtesy of wandering around Boots during a boring lunch break.

I would quite like the big No7 BAC, I don't need all that stuff in one go but if it gets reduced at any point I may pounce.

IlovePond · 20/09/2025 09:46

I’m giving it a go @OvaHere - I have never been interested in no7, (reminds me of being a kid and no7 makeup), but at this price I thought it was worth trying!

OvaHere · 20/09/2025 09:47

@BakeOffRewatch I really like the AoS firming day treatment. I've liked most things I've tried from them apart from the night retinol cream. I'm using their peptide eye cream at the moment and the Vit C serum.

I love the Vit C serum, I think it's fantastic (note - it needs to be applied to an already slippy face or it's difficult to work in).

The peptide eye cream I like but on the fence with. Some, but not all, nights it irritates my eyes a bit and I'm not sure why that is. Texture wise it's lovely.

I recently finished a 7ml mini of their serum with growth factors. I really loved that one and would love a full size but it is very expensive and not one you see in edits. At best I could probably get it on a 20% discount from one of the beauty sites.

I've also recently been using up the Irene Forte cream from one of the recent Liberty edits. Did anyone else get this one?

I used it as my night cream for a little while but it didn't quite hit the spot so I've been using it as a neck cream and I find it really good for that. Too expensive to buy as neck cream though unless I can pick up more on Vinted.

This time last year I’d bought the Liberty Founder’s Edit and the Cult Beauty Skintellectuals edit in early September. They don’t seem as forthcoming this year with them. There’s usually a really good autumn edit.

MentyB · 20/09/2025 12:36

Thanks @OvaHere I was just thinking about this edit this morning as I really want to try the fil mask and I've decided that I deserve it after a hard couple of weeks.

Next Paradise beauty box £22

I have no idea what this scent is like but it looks very pretty.

It’s a dupe for Light Blue and is lovely - one of my main summer perfumes.

It sounds lovely - a strange choice of edit box for a very rainy late September weekend though!

Might nip into Next when I'm in town to smell it.

Further sad news on recycling fellow beauty lovers.

Harrods /H beauty have changed their terms. You now have to spend £20 in order to receive £5 in points for recycling five items and it is limited to 3 times per month. The previous scheme was very generous- no spend required and up to 10 recycles allowed per month so I’m not surprised it changed but obviously disappointed.

It will now be a very occasional recycle if I’m planning to buy something - similar to JL.

Oh that’s a shame- do you know when this starts?

Sadly, it already has- I found out when I went in to recycle today. I saw no prior warnings announcements but the t&c have changed online.

That’s a bit poor re no notice. It was almost too good to be true although I use much due to location.

IlovePond · 21/09/2025 13:08

Hi, I spotted Laneige or possibly Tocobo lip dupes in Aldi today - very cute, plus a hair/body salt scrub for £3.99. They also had a night cream that looked promising for £4.49.
(Please applaud my restraint in leaving them all on the shelf!)
