Done to death I am sure...best shower gel

I fancy a new shower gel! I use a huge variety from Jo Malone (lovely but probably not worth it financially) to Molton Brown (as before) to Waitrose own brand etc.

Any suggestions please? I quite fancy a moisturising one but not wedded to that.

Thank you!

Molton Brown Orange and Bergamont I have a Molton Brown Apricot and Freesia but not tried it yet
Rituals Sakura foam

For everyday , it;s a big bottle of Faith in Nature Seaweed and Citrus

If you are sensitive, like me, to SLS (check your shower gel for it if you get itchy after a shower) the the loccitanne one is fine. It's one of the few (including every baby bath stuff I've ever checked) that didn't include SLS.

Another one is Soaper Duper. But my favourite is E45 bath oil. Moisturizers like no other. it doesn't foam, but it does clean.

@user1471453601 ,I got some Savon de Marseille shower gel fromTKMaxx. No SLS.

The Sanctuary do a lovely shower gel and moisturiser that you use on wet skin after your shower ❤️

I love their shower oil! Feels decadent

Some lovely suggestions here, thank you! Really like the different price ranges too. I'd completely forgotten about Korres and Rituals as well. I'm off to shop on Thursday - there's a huge Boots and a Rituals 😬.

Rituals foaming ones

I love these too!

I’m so glad to find that I’m not the only one who doesn’t feel the love for L’occitane - smells rancid and will make you slip on your arse - almond shower oil. Just why would you?

For spendy, I’d go for any of the Rituals, but am fondest of the cherry one. For a budget option, there is a Lidl hotel collection one in a black bottle that smells spa-like to me.

wizzler · 15/07/2025 22:26

My treat is Jo Loves pomelo

Yeah I used to like but it’s like showering in cooking oil - I also hate anything with ingredients like rosemary or sage as it smells like cooking meat

£££ but Aesop geranium - gorgeous.

l'occitane almond shower gel

I had high hopes for this but it just makes the shower slippery and has barely any smell!

I agree - was v excited to try it, but actually prefer the Rituals ones

Britneyfan · 16/07/2025 00:03

I love Neal’s Yard orange and geranium, and also ESPA positivity shower gels.

I can recommend molten brown dune roses having said that DH told me he couldn’t find his soap yesterday so used the first thing that came to hand..you guessed it half a bottle of Molten Brown down the plug hole! He’d squeezed it so hard he left a dent in the bottle

Yellowbirdcage · 16/07/2025 05:13

Tried loads but too annoying to spend all that money on 98% water in plastic bottles. Half goes straight down the drain anyway. I am back to my Nesti Dante £6 soap bars. Smell like heaven and feel so much cleaner with soap. Use with a sponge with a rough side. Then Avon original SSS dry oil body spray.

beguilingeyes · 16/07/2025 05:33

I really like the Imperial Leather foam ones in a tin.

Delphigirl · 16/07/2025 05:52

Korres or Nuxe

MumbleJumble123 · 16/07/2025 05:53

Dr Teals- Eucalyptus and Spearmint (although all the scents are lovely, this is just my favourite).
It smells incredible, doesn’t irritate my skin and the bottle is massive for the price. It’s my holy grail shower/bath product (the bath salts and bubble bath are also good). I previously tried loads of different things, both expensive and cheap and it’s by far my favourite (Neal’s Yard ‘Save the Bees’ is second but it’s far more expensive and still not as nice).

ChessieFL · 16/07/2025 07:09

L’occitane almond oil just smells like Playdoh to me. I don’t want to smell like Playdoh!

M777 · 16/07/2025 07:13

La Roche Posay Lipikar shower oil is the best. Slippery like L’occitaine, so o have to use a bath mat in the shower, but gentle fragrance, doesn’t irritate me, and keeps my skin soft rather than the standard flaky and dry everything else does. I buy it when abroad as it’s much cheaper.

Yes agree , not a rose aroma at all , I do think it's a wintertime smell though .
