I did get the No7 water bank dew good intent - does feel very similar to the LaNeige to me so quite happy but dd is the LaNeige fan, will report back what she thinks down the line.

Stylevana box $49 or £39 (which just hits the free shipping threshold)

https://www.stylevana.com/en_GB/stylevana-vana-box-summer-hotshot-sizzlers-1-set88231.html

  • I’m From Rice Glow Peel Off Mask (70g)
  • CELIMAX Pore + Dark Spot Brightening Care Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ (50ml)
  • APRILSKIN Carrotene IPMP Hydromelt Cleansing Balm (90ml)
  • Isntree Yam Root Vegan Milk Toner (200ml)
  • Purito SEOUL Oat In Calming Gel Cream (100ml)
  • APLB Retinol Vitamin C Vitamin E Ampoule Serum (40ml)

18% off this box with code AFFBDETECTIVE

I've just started using the Aprilskin cleansing balm (not from this box). It's quite nice, a bit on the fragranced side - I like fragrance in a balm but prefer subtle. Was slightly alarmed as it emulsifies bright orange and I did wonder if it would stain the skin but it doesn't appear to. Removes make up fine and isn't drying. Think I still prefer the pink Banila Co Clean Zero.

Hi, If anyone is near York, the designer outlet had:

Clarins: 2024 12 day a/c down to £45
Cosmetic Company: 20% off everything on top of existing discounts except for the already heavily reduced sale items
Molton Brown: 4 bags of ten items for £28 or £36 depending on contents, bag of ten same scent items for £6, bag of various tubed items for £10
Penhaligons: 2024 24 day a/c down to £245

In other non beauty news, whilst I’m typing:

Nice bath towels in Marks starting from £7
A cute electric Brio train set down to £38
Good reductions in the Crocs store

Thankfully @IlovePond I might have to go to the nearest MB outlet tomorrow. They had great bargains last time I went.

paristotokyo · 29/07/2025 01:31

@MrsBnow12ooh thanks for sharing this, finally something I can order in my location

paristotokyo · 29/07/2025 02:32

Not sure what I’ll do with the little suitcase though, might give it to the kids to store their colouring things😂 I paid €23 (not uk) so seems like a good deal as the little items I wanted for my travel/gym bag

paristotokyo · 29/07/2025 05:13

I meat $23

MrsBnow12 · 29/07/2025 07:24

@paristotokyoThats a great result to pay $23 and glad you could order.
Shopping costs $9.99 and I couldn’t justify spending the amount for free shipping so paid it.
I am looking forward to taking some of these when I am away in September and perfect sizes to try some new things.

kerstina · 29/07/2025 08:57

Do you think the Selfridges glass skin edit would actually give you glass skin. I have only once had glass skin after I had a beauty treatment and they put some cream on . Lasted at least half an hour but I wish I knew what cream they used!

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 29/07/2025 08:58

So after emails with both Hearst and yodel it seems my box is indeed lost or, more likely about to end up on eBay or Vinted grrrrr.

Gutted. I’ve not caved with a box all year until now. > sits in corner and has a huff < 😁

IlovePond · 29/07/2025 10:11

That’s awful @tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz - I hope they are refunding you - so disappointing. What was it you were after in particular? I know a lot of people have popped stuff on Vinted so you could pick up a few things that way.

Cyclingmummy1 · 29/07/2025 10:55

Gutted for you @tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz Most of my excess sold; was there anything particular you wanted?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 29/07/2025 13:59

Cheers both and yes I will eventually be refunded.

To be honest I was looking forward to trying the lot and as someone who has zero discipline for these things it was a half year reward for being so darned good 😁

OvaHere · 29/07/2025 17:00

Aww no @tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz how disappointing. I suppose there's an outside chance it may just show up. I sold something on Vinted a while back that looked like Yodel had lost it then suddenly it was delivered after 2.5 weeks of bouncing around goodness knows where.

Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something 😁

Talking of … I want to treat myself to some nice bits towards the end of the year but with a lovely GWP. Happy to spend up to £200 if its amazing but don’t want an advent calendar (got last years lumene one in the sale so sorted for this Christmas) as I’d rather buy some things I know I’ll use.

I did Liberty last September and that was lovely so wondering what others there are that will do lovely luxury products?

Fenwicks do we reckon?

I’d be look looking to buy body products, candles and maybe hair care. Probably don’t need skin care and don’t really wear much make up (and will drop hints with a wish list for VB beauty).

OvaHere · 29/07/2025 21:13

Just my look has a gwp if you spend £90 on the app

OvaHere · 29/07/2025 21:17

Think this will probably shift quickly. Not sure I will buy it. I have a mini of that mascara I haven't tried yet and I bought 2 of those blushes in a different shade on Vinted. They are very pigmented, maybe a bit too much for me although usable with a light touch.

Also thought I'd mention that Innbeauty Project has arrived at Sephora UK. Had my eye on this brand across the pond.

Their Extreme Cream is supposed to be a good dupe for AB Rich cream which a lot of people, including myself, love but balk at bit at the price. It's £49 then £44 for refills.

Their Elastic Skin Serum also £49 looks like it could be a good dupe for the Medik8 Advanced Serum many of us like.

Also think the eye cream could be worth checking out. It's not cheap at £44 but is quite a bit cheaper than Sunday Riley Autocorrect (£60)

I love the Rich Cream and you won't believe I came on here to ask about a dupe! Definitely going to try this, thank you!
