On a side note … any items from boxes that I’ve tried — and therefore opened so can’t be sold - I’ve shifted quickly for free on Olio so that’s worth doing .

Those of you who received the Elle box already did you get a dispatch email? Did it come via Royal Mail?

Was hoping mine might come today but nothing as yet.

Not tried the peach one before but I do really like sunset one from the CB edit which is a bronzy pinky peach. I can't do very orangey peach shades though so it could end up a disappointment.

@OvaHere Mine was delivered by Yodel, I received an email from Hearst Magazine, which went into junk with tracking details.

I am another who is happy with the box, my Peachgasm is already on Vinted as shade isn’t for me.

NARS in the Elle box? What was that? Nothing was listed from NARS in the contents 🤔

Mine should come tomorrow via Yodel. I'm feeling quite smug as I made £30 on stuff from the last beauty box (the Cosmopolitan Boots one) on Vinted so this is basically a freebie.

Any idea what skin tone the Peachgasm would suit? I'm can't see it suiting me but wondering it teenage nieces might like it.

So, the Elle box.

On the ad for it it included Suprgoop sunscreen which was one of the reasons I bought the box. But it arrived today with no Supergoop and its not listed on the contents leaflet. It's still showing up as being included on the website.

Did anyone get it in their box?

Not in my box. I got exactly what was listed on the leaflet.

Nope. I got everything else that was listed on the website and in the leaflet but not the Supergoop. Nothing that replaced it either.

It's weird - I can't find any emails from them, not confirmation of order or a dispatch. Checked spam too. I do have the Paypal receipt and the order was paid for.

It's on the Elle ad, but not on the Hearst ad. Maybe that's why it was so cheap?

I'm tempted by this just because I've wanted to try Sisley Ecological Compound for ages and it's not something you usually see in a box or gift with purchase. £175 spend though - not sure I can bring myself to do it. There's not enough other stuff in the gwp I would use. All the exfoliating products would play havoc with my rosacea.

The Boots box @MrsBnow12 posted is much better value.

Very tempted by the Boots box @MrsBnow12 for the Kayali and Huda products. There's a lot in it I don't want or need though. Trying to sit on my hands because I'm not in a position at the min to quickly offload the unwanted bits on Vinted.

@OvaHere I have got the Boots box for the Kayali, am sure a sample size was in a CB fragrance box and like the Byoma and the Huda spray and a few other bits that were enough to tempt me.

I like the CB GWP and if an edit I would have probably purchased but don’t need anything to meet the spend. Hopefully some bits from it will show up on Vinted.

@MrsBnow12 I just checked my CB orders from last Xmas and I already own the Vanilla 28 in a mini set I bought (thought it was a different one) so decided I'm not going to buy it. Great box for £55 though. Hope you enjoy it.

Popped the 6 things I didn't want from the Elle box on Vinted this morning and I've sold 3 of them already! They were cheap, but one more and I've covered the cost of the box 😆

Long time lurker - first time poster on this thread here! 👋

@Movinghouseatlast - I was toying about with getting the ELLE box for weeks, but it wasn't worth £70 in my eye because there was a diclaimer in the description (I think it was somewhere near the bottom) saying the SuperGOOP sunscreen's expiration date was end of September. I have too many sunscreens to use as it is, so I really didn't need the box with useless sunscreen itn it for £70!!

When I saw it was discounted by over 50% - I jumped straight on it 😬so I wouldn't be surprised if they repackaged and discounted the boxes without SuperGOOP to sell off (the box is sold out now).

Also - if anyone wants to get rid of their scrunchies from the ELLE box - I'd be very happy to take them off your hands!

@Cyclingmummy1 - could you tell us what bits and how much you sold them for, please? And what postage people are happy to pay to get them?

I need to pile my stash together and start selling off bits I don't need/won't use, but I've never sold anything before, so I wouldn't know where to start when it comes to pricing of things like new/unopen skincare, hair and make-up on Vinted? Just want to get a general idea of the process, so to speak!

I didn't want the hair or make up items. The eyelash serum sold first! I asked £8 if the retail was over £20 and £5 if it was under.

Vinted gives you a suggested price if you put in what they view as too high a price. If they are beauty box items, I aim for about a quarter of the retail. I usually do a quick search to see what other people are selling for and go a pound or two under. Conversely, I generally price clothes higher than suggested.

Vinted postage on small items is about £2.50 and they add what seems to be a random fee for the seller. It's about £1 on £10.

As a rule you won't get a lot for things on Vinted even if the item is high RRP. Most people will put in offers for lower than your asking price so I tend to slightly overprice stuff for this reason. So if I'm happy to take £7 or £8 for an item I'll put it on at £10. If I put it on at £8 I'd just be swamped with offers for £4 - £6.

The main goal for me is shifting stuff I won't use to someone who will and if I build up a bit of play money it's a bonus.

If items haven't sold in a few weeks I tend to bundle them and sell v cheap.

My Elle box arrived today and I’m delighted with it - I use UK Lash so that almost covers my £30 spend.

I would have been tempted to get another one but it’s sold out.
