Skin disease.

Whatthebarnacles · 09/05/2025 00:40

Reminds me a toddler's snot bubbles tbh 🤧🙈

justinhawkinsnavalfluff · 09/05/2025 00:40

Not worth the money

TatteredAndTorn · 09/05/2025 00:41

I really like it and would have worn it when younger (not at £380 though as couldn’t have afforded it!). Not to a wedding though (as it says in the link). More a clubbing/going out out dress.

Ellmau · 09/05/2025 00:43

Must be very uncomfortable to sit down in.

SallyDraperGetInHere · 09/05/2025 00:45

How does it stay up? Is it very heavy? Can you sit down in it? Does it leave dents in your skin?

Blueuggboots · 09/05/2025 01:17

£380! 😳

Meadowfinch · 09/05/2025 01:22

You can find much much better looking dresses for £380.

And someone give that poor girl a sandwich !

Seacatt · 09/05/2025 01:24

It reminds me of a pebble bath mat.

JennyTals · 09/05/2025 01:32

I love it, but I'm a bit of a nifler when it comes to shiny. I agree thstbits not suitable for a wedding and the price!

xxlostxx · 09/05/2025 02:17

Amphibian skin

PlayingDevilsAdvocateisinteresting · 09/05/2025 03:28

Well, I did really like it in the first photo when I thought it was going to be a midi or maxi strapless dress, but as it is just a rather wide belt, not so much... 😜

Mothership4two · 09/05/2025 03:48

Dr Who monster skin circa 1974.

Example below:

What do you think to this crystal dress ?

I agree, I assumed it would be a maxi in which case I probably would have bought one myself. I love the drama of the dress but anything short AND strapless just looks uninspired

BlueEyedBogWitch · 09/05/2025 04:17

Sets my trypophobia off.

Oblomov25 · 09/05/2025 05:11

I actually really like it, but only if you are 21 with a perfect figure.

GarlicPile · 09/05/2025 05:41

It can't be washed or dry cleaned. Your cost-per-wear will be approx £380 😧

It will probably live on in your friends' memories, though: "Remember that party when Zoe couldn't sit down because of the bobbles on her frogspawn dress?"

blindblinds · 09/05/2025 05:45

Don't mind it but it's a difficult colour to pull off.

unsync · 09/05/2025 06:03

Frog dress.

What do you think to this crystal dress ?
crazeekat · 09/05/2025 06:23

Really like it for a twenty/early 40 something with a slim figure.

That's the word.was looking for!! Urrrggg!!!

FagsMagsandBags · 09/05/2025 07:52

I think it's stunning but it's too short for anyone without fabulous legs. My legs are too skinny for it but I'd love to see it with tulle, good quality stuff not the sort we see too much of, was sewn around the hem, to turn it into a maxi with really interesting fabric textures going on. The tulle would be the colour of the dress under the crystals. I'd have to do something with the top too because spaghetti arms, but for most people the tulle bottom would be enough and I'd probably just work on the top with tulle too.

And now I want to do just that and I think most dressmakers could do that very simply. The dress is a bit expensive though and I normally don't blink at that sort of price if I think it's right for the outfit - doesn't matter if I can afford it or not, it's value I'm looking at. It's acrylic beads and polyester which is par for the course, but £380 and it's Monsoon who are mid-high but that's pushing it for that dress. So, yes, love the concept, think it looks good but it's too expensive for what it is and adding quite a lot more to it with quality fabric ... yeah. Stunning but yeah/no.

Berlinlover · 09/05/2025 07:57

I think it’s gorgeous but the model is too tall for it. It would look better on someone shorter, you’d have to be super skinny though.
