I bet you’re fat.

I bet nobody would say: "somebody give that poor girl a salad!" if it was the other way around. Yes, it's not okay.

Amphibian skin

Yes, puts me in mind of a frog.

Agapornis · 10/05/2025 18:50

The Silurians from Doctor Who.

What do you think to this crystal dress ?
Bailiwitch · 10/05/2025 18:58

I don’t dislike it at all.

Do think it would look much better on someone shorter and fatter. Curves would give it a better … visual narrative.

I like it better up close than from a distance

myheadsjustmush · 10/05/2025 19:17

It reminds me of a lizard......

Gyozas · 10/05/2025 22:40

Sets off my trypophobia.

Motheringlikeapelican · 11/05/2025 07:53

Like a warty snot covered dinosaur

CatsWhiskerz · 11/05/2025 08:12

Argh! I'm 😱😱😱 with clusters so that's not nice at all

Ruthietuthie · 11/05/2025 14:31

Did you ever read the children's book, Fungus the Bogeyman. If Fungus had a stylist teenage daughter, that is what she would wear.
(Could look amazing in another less snot-adjacent color)

steff13 · 12/05/2025 01:18

It looks like a monster from Monsters, Inc.

housemaus · 12/05/2025 13:26

I actually really like it! But I can see why people wouldn't.

Onedayatatime9 · 12/05/2025 13:50

First thought.... awful!

I think it's stunning but it's too short for anyone without fabulous legs. My legs are too skinny for it but I'd love to see it with tulle, good quality stuff not the sort we see too much of, was sewn around the hem, to turn it into a maxi with really interesting fabric textures going on. The tulle would be the colour of the dress under the crystals. I'd have to do something with the top too because spaghetti arms, but for most people the tulle bottom would be enough and I'd probably just work on the top with tulle too.

And now I want to do just that and I think most dressmakers could do that very simply. The dress is a bit expensive though and I normally don't blink at that sort of price if I think it's right for the outfit - doesn't matter if I can afford it or not, it's value I'm looking at. It's acrylic beads and polyester which is par for the course, but £380 and it's Monsoon who are mid-high but that's pushing it for that dress. So, yes, love the concept, think it looks good but it's too expensive for what it is and adding quite a lot more to it with quality fabric ... yeah. Stunning but yeah/no.

I love this post!

My reaction was just 'yuck'. Grin

weirdoboelady · 09/05/2025 16:33

Although I quite liked the fabric at first glance, I dislike the dress (too low + too short, should be one or the other). I then moved on to thinking 'you could stick those bobbly things on yourself for a lot less money'. I then moved on to thinking how entertaining this dress would be if you got a whole lot of googly eyes in the £1 shop......

I am afraid i snorted with laughter so hard at the googly eyes that my 22 year old leapt from my lap in fright.

Now I have to go and give her Dreamies for scaring her.

It reminds me of a pebble bath mat.

That's it!

Pieceofpurplesky · 13/05/2025 10:20

I quite like it. It wouldn’t fit my big toe though. I don’t think it suits the model.

menopause59 · 13/05/2025 14:09

I wish i was slim enough to wear it and rich enough to purchase it 😂

GeorgianaM · 13/05/2025 14:12

That dress looks like a mosaic monstrosity.

Reddog1 · 13/05/2025 14:18

Polyester/acrylic and too short. Maybe Sarah Jessica Parker could get away with it but most people couldn’t. Even the model looks uncomfortable.

On that note, the model looks healthy, so I’m not sure why the “sandwich” comment was made.

JennyTals · 14/05/2025 09:57
