Argh! Urgently need something for my pathetic boobs

I've bought this strapless M&S dress to wear to a couple of imminent weddings, and am now feeling nervous about my rather sad, spaniel ear boobs. I've hardly ever gone strapless before, and I don't know where to start.
Sorry for the shit photos, but thought they might be useful as reference 🫠

Not getting the issue.

You look lovely and slim, I don't think big boobs look good in strapless dresses anyway.

HappySmurfs · 03/05/2025 22:42

Looks great 👍

Wacqui · 03/05/2025 22:44

Honestly you look fine. You really do.

But yeah I get the way you feel. I'm way too paranoid about my danglers to go braless!

ThisIsntAboutAChair · 03/05/2025 22:46

Thats very kind! But I just think they look quite pancake like, and am feeling self conscious. I wondered where the best strapless bras for post child smallish boobs might be

Try a wonder bra strapless it will give you some lift. But the dress does honestly look fabulous in you!

Christwosheds · 03/05/2025 22:51

You look beautiful! But if you want a bra to give a bit of oomph then maybe a strapless Wonderbra , as that has padding plus uplift so will give some structure and support under the dress.

ChandrilanDiscoDroid · 03/05/2025 22:53

Are you wearing a bra in the pictures? The dress looks good. Great even. Your boobs look great and you have nothing to worry about. Any strapless that fits will do fine.

ThisIsntAboutAChair · 03/05/2025 23:30

In the first photo I'm not wearing a bra, the second I am. Thanks for the wonderbra tip! I've just remembered that was the only strapless bra I've actually worn, as a bridesmaid years and years ago. I do remember having to hoik it up a lot, but probably wasn't the right size...

Wow you look gorgeous!
My only slight fashion advice and I’m not an expert is to ditch the socks, don’t think they quite go. 😁

StarlightLady · 04/05/2025 08:13

As someone who has never got on with any strapless bra l think you (and the dress!) look good in both photos. In other words it’s very much bra optional, and more a matter of confidence than support.

Another option l would personally consider is wearing it with a basque (l have 2) which offer more support and stop in place, but they are not for everyone and not cheap.

Howldens · 04/05/2025 10:00

I think you look gorgeous. I actually think you look better than a person with boobs would. Like a ballet dancer.

my only comment : fake tan ?

ThisIsntAboutAChair · 04/05/2025 11:44

Oh man, fake tan!! I've never really got on with it, I think I always ended up streaky and weird smelling. so have always been sort of off milk colour. Maybe I'll give it a go 🤔 I'm sure there have been massive advances with it since I last tried. Or maybe I'll just embrace off milk

Don't fake tan unless you want to. No one would dream of telling someone with a darker skin tone to alter it and they shouldn't tell those with very fair skin change it either.

SonK · 04/05/2025 11:56

No idea on bra suggestions but want to say you look lovely, also agree no need for a fake tan unless you want to for yourself : ) x

WonderingWanda · 04/05/2025 11:59

Go and try it on with every strapless bra they have in the shop in a variety of sizes till you find one that makes you feel more confident.

Capricornandproud · 04/05/2025 12:04

If you not a fan of tan, buy a tanning mitt and apply Dove gradual tanning moisturiser - I would do it in the morning if you find it sticky so you can always rinse off at night. Have to say, no one should have to change anything about themselves but a hint of glow on that much exposed skin will make you feel better. You look fab in the dress! But if you feel better with a bra, do buy a good branded push up bra. Be prepared for it to be tight enough that its uncomfortable, otherwise you will spend all day hoiking it up.

Capricornandproud · 04/05/2025 12:05

…PS you have fab skin too!

TranceNation · 04/05/2025 12:07

You look fantastic in that dress! But if you are wanting to do something with your boobs then a simple push up Wonderbra should give you sufficient boost.

Absolutely this. Your skin (and hair colour btw!) is GORGEOUS. If you want to fake tan, do it but you absolutely do not need to and should absolutely do what you’re comfortable with

Hallywally · 04/05/2025 12:43

Honestly I think you look great- you have a lovely figure and your boobs look fine. Also yes- no fake tan unless you want to. We really need to move away from this view than tanned skin is better than pale skin.

Illegally18 · 04/05/2025 13:02

You could try 'tit tape'. Can't remember the proper name for it. But other than that, you look great in it.

Comefromaway · 04/05/2025 13:12

That’s a beautiful dress & you look great in it.

take it to somewhere like John Lewis (I’m guessing you are too small for Bravissiimo) & see what they have. Do not let M & S bra fitters near you.

Maggieminor · 04/05/2025 13:59

Is it the security of a bra you want or some oomph? A good strapless bra from an underwear shop would give you both. There's a great shop near me, an independent one that would sort you out if you're not happy but yo echo what others have said, it looks great

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/05/2025 14:33

Gorgeous. You definitely don't need fake tan. If it's a church wedding, you probably want something over your shoulders for the service.

GokWood · 04/05/2025 14:37

Beautiful build , dress gawjus. Hair up , big smile and buy a fabric flower for your rist. Wedding sorted
