SOAP…..I miss the smell!!!

I’m desperate to find either a very moisturising soap smelling soap, or a shower cream that smells like sosp
propper 80s camay kind of smell my mum used too use
no floral or citrus or summer rain on a hot cat
just soap!
Even Dove no longer smells soapy
i miss the clean simple smell soap.
Any recommendations?

I love Bronnley, green fern is very soapy smelling. My fave is lemon but you don't want citrus. Very rich lather.
My DP likes Palmolive. Is Camay finished?

You want Sanex it has that lovely old soap smell and make my bathroom smell lovely @Glittersmoke

So if there's a sudden run on soap when I go shopping tonight, I'll know why! 😀

It won't be me. I have a drawer full of the stuff.
I did buy the Waitrose Pink Grapefruit shower gel after reading about it on here and have bought it since, but I am a bar soap person at heart.

My dad used to use Imperial Leather (and he would have been 107 by now )

So many lovely soapy recommendations!
I really love the Le Petit Olivier ones that you can get in TK Maxx. They do lots of different scents but my favourite is argan oil. I think it's got a neutral, clean soapy smell.

I'm also a big fan of Philosophy's Pure Grace perfume which smells like soap. It's my favourite everyday scent for when you just want to smell good, without smelling like you're wearing a perfume...if that makes sense?!

Savin de Marseille - Maman is clean, gentle and soapy.

Oh Camay, now there is a blast from the past! It still exists but no idea if it smells the same. Desperate to find out now though!

The almond scented soap from L’Occitane is like catnip to me. I take a sniff whenever I open the drawer.
Pear’s soap (proudly used by DGM “on all her babies”) just isn’t the same any more.
Maybe try the soaps from more traditional perfume brands like Yardley.

@Glittersmoke funnily enough, I keep a stock of imperial leather in my bathroom. much better than shower gels.

What about Pears soap, you can still get it at Home Bargains, smells the same after all these years!

I'm using Pears soap just now and love it. Forgot about Imperial Leather, must buy a bar!

I still like using Dove as well. When I'm feeling fancy I've bought some savon de marseille From Chateau Du Savon.

The shield soap I've put in the basket smells lovely too. Hope DH appreciate it.

Well this thread has made me want to buy Nesti Dante soaps... Went back to trying the body shop tea tree shower gel, thinking it would make me feel clean... Nope!

Waitrose essentials soap smells soapy.
