I'll probably regret this, but look at these pictures and tell me what I should have done to my hair...............

please?

And please don't look at my face, I hate having my photo taken and it's hard trying to take photos of yourself with a handheld digital camera

I've had my hair like this FOREVER, and I want to get it cut (or something) on Friday (now that Argos has screwed up and won't be delivering my stuff until next week) but don't know what to have done with it........I'm not very good at "styling" it so needs to be something ridiculously easy to keep looking ok.......

hair down

hair down from the front (ooops think I caught the sun today )

tied back

up from the front (I don't really have a triple/quadruple chin - honestly!)

Come on - ideas for me please.........otherwise I'll end up with my standard on the shoulder, layered type thing

which I'm BORED of........

If I were you i'd go short.

Your hair is like mine, quite thin and it generally looks better short.

Lizzylou · 08/05/2008 08:23

Mid-length with lots of long, choppy layers if you still want to be able to tie it up, if not chin length choppy bob.
Your hair is a lovely colour.

I'm not so sure about short. But then I am useless at hair styles and always have the same: hair just below shoulder, so just long enough to be tied back. No fringe. Few light layers.

Ask the advice of the hairdresser. Don't do drastic, because if you don't think the haircut you get now is enough, you can get it cut shorter next time.

fishie · 08/05/2008 08:24

looks as though it would be fairly curly if shorter, would you like that? a curly shortish cut? or do you prefer being able to put it up? its a lovely colour.

ChippyMinton · 08/05/2008 08:25

Lovely hair. Have it chopped into a bob, side parting. Will take years off you (not that you need that obviously)

how about this?

windygalestoday · 08/05/2008 08:29

FAQ you are lovely - you really sell yourself short!! your hair looks a lovely colour and is very glossy i think a choppy bob would look nice too.

MrsBadger · 08/05/2008 08:44

FAQ I am rubbish at hairstlyes so cannot help there

but if you keep it long enough to tie back ditch the scrunchies and get some blonde covered elastics from Boots or Claire's - they immediately make a ponytail look a bit slicker

lokka · 08/05/2008 08:46

I agree with fishie's style. it'd be lovely with your colour too.

Furball · 08/05/2008 09:06

something like this

Furball · 08/05/2008 09:07

yep, fishies style nice!

Lizzylou · 08/05/2008 09:09

Really like Fishie and Furball's styles.
They'd really suit you and you could tousle/scrunch and go.

nailpolish · 08/05/2008 09:13

yes agree about ditching the scrunchies and using thinner bands to match hair colour
accessorize have loads

i htink if you cut your hair itd be more curly am i right? get it layered and itll look fab like in furballs style

get a diffuser for your hairdryier

Furball · 08/05/2008 09:18

The other thing you need is a blooming good hairdresser! It really does make a difference.

itsMYmummy · 08/05/2008 14:53

Hows about a nice mullet?

Oliveoil · 08/05/2008 14:57

my hair is naturally wavy and I had it all lopped off last year

now it is growing and is a kind of choppy bob, I leave it to dry

did you see those pics of Gyweneth Paltrow with her ridiculous shoes recently, I think that length will look great on you

then you can still tie it back

will find pic of GP

Oliveoil · 08/05/2008 14:59

kind of like this

WingsofaAngel · 08/05/2008 15:03

I think this kind of style would suit you.

nailpolish · 08/05/2008 15:08

olive i love GPs haur in that pic

her sheos are fine

but the dress is FAR too short

tsk

Oliveoil · 08/05/2008 15:22

yes dress too short but she looks fabaroooni

nailpolish · 08/05/2008 15:22
