FAQ · 07/05/2008 22:29

please?

And please don't look at my face, I hate having my photo taken and it's hard trying to take photos of yourself with a handheld digital camera

I've had my hair like this FOREVER, and I want to get it cut (or something) on Friday (now that Argos has screwed up and won't be delivering my stuff until next week) but don't know what to have done with it........I'm not very good at "styling" it so needs to be something ridiculously easy to keep looking ok.......

hair down

hair down from the front (ooops think I caught the sun today )

tied back

up from the front (I don't really have a triple/quadruple chin - honestly!)

Come on - ideas for me please.........otherwise I'll end up with my standard on the shoulder, layered type thing

which I'm BORED of........

go to the library and use their internet and printer!

chonky · 08/05/2008 17:23

Definitely go for the GP look - it would really suit you. at your hair - I pay good money to my hairdresser and it still doesn't look a tenth as good as yours. Grrr

oxocube · 08/05/2008 18:29

Furball's suggestion is lovely. You have beautiful hair

FAQ · 08/05/2008 18:30

at all these comments about my "lovely" hair - I hate it!!!!

OP posts:
Buda · 08/05/2008 18:34

Ask for a choppy bob. Very "in" so the hairdresser will know what you mean and also look at some books while there to show a pic to hairdresser.

And then come on here and show us the result!

You have come a long way recently!

nobodysfool · 08/05/2008 18:40

You have really pretty eyes.
I think a soft fringe would frame your face lovely and make the most of those bush baby eyes!

FAQ · 08/05/2008 18:43

ooo no I had a fringe when I was a kid....... was AWFUL and I hated it LOL.

thanks Buda - I'll ask for a choppy bob

SniffyHock · 08/05/2008 18:46

Ask your hairdresser for a Gwyneth and he/she is bound to know what you mean. I agree that your hair is really lovely - fab colour!! (your boys are tres cute too!!)

I don't have a fringe..........I haven't had a fringe for ermm............15yrs????

I think you've got really lovely hair. Don't know that you should cut it personally!

FAQ · 08/05/2008 18:56

actually they're not usually that bad - think it was because I'd been sweating and they'd "curled" up again from being damp LOL.

Usually they're pretty "ok" and stay flat once brushed that way when I tie my hair back.

OP posts:
mylovelymonster · 08/05/2008 18:59

Keep medium length - to chin/just off shoulders, then soft layers to frame lovely face, and perhaps whispy fringe??

I'm having same issue as you - am having major restyle tomorrow

Show us the 'after' pics when you have them x

hls · 08/05/2008 20:52

Just agree with the others- long hair can be a bit "Alice in Wonderland " .

Go for a chin-length or shorter layered bob, with a light wispy fringe.

fishie · 08/05/2008 22:26

i don't see why those nice little curls at front are a bad thing. it will be easier to manage if you accept your hair's waviness and get some suitable products, rather than brushing and tidying it which is what you are doing now.

choppy bob sounds about right to ask for at hairdresser, better work out whether you want a fringe or not in advance.

FAQ · 08/05/2008 22:28

I suppose........

don't think I want a fringe......I'll see how I feel in the morning.....

and don't worry I'll post some "after" pictures too

StopSpyingYouFreak · 08/05/2008 22:33

frame those gorgeous eyes!

StopSpyingYouFreak · 08/05/2008 22:34

FAQ your hair is stunning, it looks like golden syrup

SniffyHock · 08/05/2008 22:37

don't get a fringe!! It will just curl up and drive you nuts. Your hair is lovely as it is but as you're in the mood for a change, go for the choppy bod option. You should be able to wash and go!

Look forward to seeing the pictures x
