I hope no one minds me starting a new thread. I couldn't see one.

The survey is full of typos and also quite badly designed (research geek). But yes interesting to see what they have planned.

I think they need to be really careful about what their brand is all about. Some of the florals (makeup brushes) verge towards the Cath kidston…horrors. Some of the ideas look nice and fit with their brand positioning and others are just bizarre. But if they jump to ideas first without nailing what the brand is all about they’ll end up with exactly this kind of confused mish mash.

I agree. The range seems a bit "novelty" - especially the brushes. I'm not really bothered what the handle of a brush looks like - I'm more bothered with how it functions!

Alabas · 24/01/2025 12:09

I’ve just checked it out. It looks very cheap, definitely not a luxury brand. I agree with the WH Smith comment, it might appeal to teenagers!!

Yes I just replied and said the range felt really gimmicky

Yes I would have made a beeline for it as a teen!

WindsurfingDreams · 24/01/2025 12:51

I don't understand why they haven't rolled out the eye cream, it's genuinely one of my favourite products

nearly61 · 24/01/2025 13:27

Yes I totally agree - floral packaging that looks plasticky and cheap pocket money style. Really very surprised they think this is stylish and reflects their brand.

Unpaidviewer · 24/01/2025 13:34

Thank you @BakeOffRewatch for tagging everyone.

I took a look at the survey and I'm disappointed with the products they are showing. None of it looks like luxury products. I know they are known for their prints but they could have incorporated them in a more sophisticated way. Especially on the brushes. Maybe embossed metal or similar. Even if they are the best brushes in the world I would be put off buying them because of how cheap they look.

Yeah I don’t think I’ll be using Rare: Consulting for any surveys.

The thing about these products is that there’s already a Holy Grail product in the beauty hall in each of these categories.

It’s like they are saying’we don’t know what our USP is so will you tell us pretty please?’

Yes, it feels like they are totally losing direction

I thought the perfumes and candles make sense,. because they linked to the liberty prints. Bath products might work for the same reason. But makeup , and gimmicky stuff at that, feels like a strange segue

Same! It's the only eye cream which actually makes a difference! It was rolled out ages ago, would have thought they would have released it by now.

UntamedShrew · 24/01/2025 19:01

Fragrance and candles also work as the whole store smells completely amazing - it’s one of the reasons I am compelled to go in anytime I’m vaguely in the area! They have an amazing brand but agree, they don’t seem to understand it and agree, want others to tell them their USP. Which never ends well.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 24/01/2025 19:35

I disagree as I like the packaging & it's different to the boring same old same old containers that many other beauty brands use.
I also don't think that Liberty are losing their way - they're doing what most companies do - find out what their customers think.

However I do agree to the comments on why Liberty haven't rolled out the Liquid Eye Patch as that is a fab product & DD (18) really rates it as an under eye primer/concealer.
Maybe that age group isn't Liberty's usual demographic but DD would buy it.

I've seen that Liberty are now offering 50ml sizes of their perfumes. I don't know why they didn't do that in the first place?

BakeOffRewatch · 25/01/2025 08:36

I personally wouldn’t buy any of the stuff pictured. I’m not into their Liberty print bags either, though I do like the Burlington bag they’ve put out. I agree I think the Liberty prints are more suited to stuff I’d buy kids.

Received a link this morning asking to fill a survey about Liberty. I like to use my credit for treats and gifts for kids, I had a look at their 20% loyalty event items the toys are marked up above RRP even AFTER the sale discount! The RRP for this toy is £40, on Liberty it’s £52.95 and £42.36 after the discount. On some websites it’s reduced to £30. www.libertylondon.com/uk/vintage-doctor-roleplay-wooden-kit-000814804.html

It looks very much like one is Elasticizer 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Another76543 · 25/01/2025 11:39

I'm trying work out the new edit items. I think Elasticizer, votary pillow spray, possibly a Kate Somerville cleanser, mirror water bath salts, the pink one might be a Sisley toner. Some kind of eye/face mask. Not sure about the perfume or the dark pink pot.

None of those sound particularly appealing.
Wish they'd do another scent edit like the ones last year which were about £120 for a load of large size samples

MrsBnow12 · 25/01/2025 16:11

I agree re not very exciting, thing that appeals the most at the moment is the bag.
has anyone managed to work out the purple pot or the perfume?

BakeOffRewatch · 25/01/2025 18:24

Just to say I do like the liberty print silk dresses and wool wraps and capes. I think it’s got to be premium materials www.libertylondon.com/uk/tree-of-life-140x160-wool-cape-000799332.html

Oh yes I got that edit, still working my way through the different scents - there were some lovely ones

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 29/01/2025 22:46

Having now tried Vine Thief for over a week my verdict is I love it!
From reading the notes I didn't think I would like it, as up until now Wild Rosinda has been my favourite followed by Ianthe Oud. I wasn't keen on Liberty Maze.

Vine Thief also has greater longevity than the above LBTY fragrances (well it does on me)

Thank you for posting the screenshots of the survey BakeOffRewatch! I clicked it but didn’t meet the requirements to be able to take it.

I think the perfume in the Instagram reel is Cosmoss but not sure about the purple pot

Orangeslemon · 02/02/2025 22:29

Actually, don’t think it is Cosmoss on a closer look!

Joining this thread so I don't miss any GWPs or edits 😊I don't seem to get any of their promo emails anymore
