Does anyone else feel 100stars quality is lacking?

I've recently placed a order in the January sales, and finally got my order (first left on doorstep and stolen) and I'm surprised at the poor quality.

One item was a kimono, and not bad but not great for the price. The sewing around the hem/edge of the arms is diabolical. The other was a boyfriend jacket, that is not much thicker than a shirt! The prints are beautiful, just find the execution and quality very poor. I paid nearly £175 for these items, even at 75% off kimono and 50% off the jacket.

Does anyone else feel the same? Or is it just me, expecting too much?

They used to have loads of maps in the short kimono - Paris, Budapest, New York, London, Edinburgh, and I don't know what else! I have erm, all of those and would like to replace a couple of very elderly ones I've worn to death, but they just don't make them any more.

I have a few pieces in different styles and materials. The Darcy shirts are amazing satin type material. I have a crepe Rachel dress that looks amazing. I have the green handkerchief one but luckily haven’t noticed any unusual wear and being quite a busy pattern isn’t see through. I find the newer throws are a bit gauzy but I think I see those pieces akin to an accessory rather than an item of clothing. I remember buying the OG map prints on a mumsnet offer!

Agree that the fabric and finish is rubbish. Washed one kimono on a delicates cycle at 20 degrees and it came out all ripped. Ordered another couple, because the designs are so great, but have to admit that after a while (handwashed maybe four or five times in coldish water) they looked like old rags. As mentioned above terrible to iron. Took one on holiday to wear in the evening and I got so hot in it before I realised it was viscose which is a horrible fabric. Such a shame. Will never order from them again especially at the prices now.

I ordered a kimono and returned it as the quality of the fabric was appalling as was the stitching. I was soooo looking forward to receiving it as I had been looking at it for over a year but couldn't bring myself to pay the extortionate price! Such a disappointment

Very very thin and a bastard to iron

Ooh I wouldn't go near mine with an iron , I only wear it in summer and it's hand washed and line dried . Just so fragile

Well it arrived today and I love it, it does have a label on it inside you can use to hang on a door, however it came without a belt, so emailed the nice people at the shop asking about that, as I need a belt, obvs. It’s transparent if you hold it up to the light, but not if you put it on as such.

Beautiful!

I have a few short kimonos and love how they transform simple outfits. They are ideal to chuck on for an evening out and for holidays.

I wore the black stork one with black jeans shopping in our local city the other day and had several people approach me to ask where I got it. That one seems to be better quality than the others I have, oddly.

That is gorgeous.

My dressing gown's a few years old (it's a Kew Gardens design or something, I forget!) and the label is sewn all the way around so you can't use it for hanging. I'm glad they've updated their design, sounds a lot more practical.

That is lovely!
I started this thread, as I was so disappointed with my items this time around, but looking at that photo, just like that , I'm in love again🤷🏾‍♀️

I have returned the kimono and jacket, and waiting for a refund. It seems like certain items are OK, others not so much.

Yes I’m wondering if mine is older stock as it doesn’t seem to be on their website. The quality is excellent. It’s lovely and I was wearing it last night and this morning, the supplier is sending a replacement belt,so that’s good.

I think I will wear it a lot, I like it’s not bulky,
