I have the striped version of this dress - just had a look and yes you could cut it out quite easily.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 30/06/2025 18:51

A crew clothing knee length dress.

Comefromaway · 30/06/2025 19:43

Yes, I reckon you could cut it out. I’m a 32DD/E & a medium gives me decent support.

Ladyymuck · 30/06/2025 19:48

J crew 7/8 black trousers £150
white Company Blouse £100
Russell and Bromley loafers £275

AnnParrot · 30/06/2025 20:46

Navy linen trousers. I found these for €40 in Germany a few weeks ago and they are perfect. As a shortish, plumpish hour glass, wide leg linen trousers just make me look as though I am wearing my dad's pyjamas. But these are nicely tailored and flattering. I can't decide if they are a loose tapered fit or a slim barrel, but they are great.
White Broderie anglaise top from Next, £20 a few years ago
Grey Alpargata rope Toms, £35in a sale last year

Gettingbysomehow · 01/07/2025 07:25

I am wearing a dress for once, I don't normally wear dresses or patterns, I'm more of a classic look person but this dress made me feel nostalgic. My other dresses are plain uniqlo ones.
I'm in my 60s so I'm hoping it doesnt age me.
Dress Seasalt £65.95 sweet violet jersey dress size 12 as it comes up big.
Crochet cardigan Roman £35 I have one in navy and another in white.
I wore this for a work meeting. I swapped the glittery sandals gor some cream chunky sandals which was a better look.

FurForksSake · 01/07/2025 08:41

Primark wafty dresses are so good as the cotton is so thin! This has escaped many a cull, it’s very big but the waft means that’s ok.

Comefromaway · 01/07/2025 09:48

I have never got on with Primark sizings, especially since a lot of stuff changed to dual sizings.

Comefromaway · 01/07/2025 09:56

Uniglo black skort £25
Uniqglo round neck t shirt £15
Clarks ballet flats
Silver pendant necklace with purple colour stone from a craft fayre

BitOutOfPractice · 01/07/2025 09:58

Black cotton skirt, Primark, around £15. It’s lush.

black ribbed shirt, M&S around £8 I think.

Green leather platform slides, from a little boutique in Llandudno, £45.

FurForksSake · 01/07/2025 10:15

My dress is so old it’s a single size, it’s a UK 18. I’m a size 10 and sometimes an 8. But this thing is not falling off me. I mean it’s big but it’s not 4 sizes too big.

i haven’t ventured in in a while as I think it’s got expensive. I find next and supermarkets much easier.

m&s are surely going to have a cracking sale this summer? They must have tonnes of excess stock.

FurForksSake · 01/07/2025 10:15

Oh and it’s literally just occurred to me I could crop out my head instead of erasing it 😆

I'm a a 12, occasionally a 10. A Primark Size 18 dress fitting someone who is 8-10 is probably why I can't get on with their sizes!

Comefromaway · 01/07/2025 12:10

Mind you, even in Uniqglo. Two different denim skorts, different styles. One of them the Medium fitted perfectly, the other I could not zip up for love nor money.

Blingismything · 01/07/2025 18:56

An ancient aqua linen tunic dress. Probably £40 a few years ago. Brown Birkenstock Gizeh.

It’s ankle length, viscose, and loose fitting in the bust and skirt. More clingy in the waist/midsection area.
