This morning it’s an ancient dress from Tu that I have no recollection buying. It’s a size 12, so a reasonable fit. Not leaving the house as ever, but if I did I’d fear my chunky black sandals or my Birkenstocks.

I am death gardening so I'm wearing board shorts from mountain warehouse and a very dirty teashirt I bought from tik tok shop so I'm not fit to be seen. But I hope my legs will catch the sun. At the moment they look like spam.

I’ve just lost 5st, I’ve got another 10lbs or so to go. When I get there I definitely want to start investing in some investment pieces once I know a weight is stable.

I lost 1 stone and managed to get back down from a 14 to a 12/10. Once I’d maintained it for 7-8 months I made a list of basic pieces I will wear over & over.

In town today so I dressed up a bit:
Drapey, very long, thin black linen shirt, Massimo Dutti vinted £7
Slightly sheer 🤭, loose black cropped trousers, old Zara sale £12 (the shirt covered my bum)
Dark brown leather ‘ties’ style (like thong/cords, iykwim) belt, charity shop £2
Brown block heel sandals, Primark £18
Fine gold chain, was a gift
Fine gold-plated rings, Z by Accessorize £15ish

I recommend the sandals. They’re currently in shops, have a pretty, textured gold square at the toe loop, and are squishily padded underfoot so they were comfy all morning!

I started the day in my Craghopper kiwi shorts (about 5 years old) and a North Face T-shirt (€25 in last summer’s sales).

But I am about to go out and need to get into dry clothes because of the heat. So my green trousers from Cassis & Paprika (€50 a few weeks ago) and a Carolyn Donnelly T-shirt (€35 last summer), with my old navy suede loafers. And a pair of sunglasses (€70 from an airport a few months ago as my last pair smashed).
