I need some inspiration!

Are you going all out with a sparkly number or is it a PJ day in your house?

I have bought new pJs for us both. Oh has his on now though so looks like we will be doing a wash.

StampOnTheGround · 19/12/2024 21:47

New Christmas PJ's for us all - can't wait!

ThatCoralMaker · 19/12/2024 21:49

My pyjamas then leggings and a t shirt.
I always have a giggle on Christmas night at my SIL in a party dress at my mum’s house and the rest of the family in every day clothes.
She was obviously brought up in a dress up for Christmas house - we weren’t.

overthinkersanonnymus · 19/12/2024 21:56

God I wish I could just be in PJs!!

It’s just us at home Christmas Day so we are staying casual andI I have a really nice new loungewear set to wear.

AspirationalTallskinnylatte · 19/12/2024 22:07

A pinny as I'll be in the kitchen all day

Lavenderandbrown · 19/12/2024 22:10

A jcrew plaid blouse with pretty sparkly buttons over a black slip dress skirt(not a full dress) black boots I will
wear an apron for cooking and then put on a black velvet blazer I will wear this exact same outfit on christmas eve with a different group of people I enjoy dressing up

Rina66 · 19/12/2024 22:13

I keep changing my mind, so I've now just ordered some sequin wide leg trousers from Next (apparently they don't itch) and I'm thinking of wearing with a cream jumper I have or perhaps I'll buy the jumper in black? I've got these low heeled bow mules from Zara that I also wore last Christmas, so I know they're comfortable.

Morning and afternoon in Christmas pjs.

dinner is at an overstuffed house so I will wear something very light.

i have a new floaty maxi dress that looks nice, but feels a bit like wearing a nightgown. I will probably wear that. I have a long coat I can wear over it so I don’t completely freeze going over.

Parker231 · 19/12/2024 22:19

Glamorous pj’s for me!

Ha, your SIL would be me. It is weird because the rest of the year I'll happily wear pj bottoms around the house (dressed on top though) but it feels wrong at Christmas, I need to wear something fancy, it's instinctual🫣

Time40 · 19/12/2024 22:35

No idea, but will be dressed up, made up, nails done and jewellery.

Nc546888 · 19/12/2024 22:36

I didn’t realise so many people wore pajamas all day on Xmas. I wear them til
about 10am and then either jeans and nice jumper or a dress

Littleguggi · 19/12/2024 22:37

Definitely something sparky, if not on Xmas when else can you wear sparkles?!

UncharteredWaters · 19/12/2024 22:39

@Parker231
they are lovely - can I ask the website please?

PickAChew · 19/12/2024 22:42

Compromise for me. At home, no visitors and I will be cooking so comfy black joggers and this slightly sparkly blouse that I made this time last year.

WhimsicalGubbins76 · 19/12/2024 22:44

Absolutely a PJ day. I’ll be doing bacon butties in the morning with a Buck’s Fizz in one hand and a strong coffee in the other, in my Pjs.
Then I’ll be cooking dinner in my PJs, with just a Buck’s Fizz in hand this time (I need at least one hand free to baste the turkey)
Then I’ll change into a fresh pair for dinner, crack open the wine and eat all day, in my pjs while my DH loads the dishwasher, our DS FaceTimes his girlfriend and I catch up on the Christmas soaps 🤣 wine in hand and tin of chocolates next to me.
Heaven!

TulipTuesday · 19/12/2024 22:44

It’s just us at home so I’ll be wearing some comfy jogger style bottoms with a Xmas jumper.
DH and DS will wear scruffy shorts and not much else like every other day 😄

Just me and my 14 year old daughter this Christmas (lost both son and partner over the last 2 years) so we have planned it all out and we will be in pjs being absolute slobs with good food and presents and loads of box sets lol we just want it as stress free as possible and I'm so looking forward to not having to wear anything glittery and sparkly

I don't begrudge you that one bit.

I hope you both have a lovely restful day together x

Will be having dinner at my brothers house so I’m wearing a black jump from Mint Velvet. Then doing Christmas Day again at my sisters on Boxing Day when I’ll be wearing a satin mini shirt dress. Then we are doing it for a third time at MIL’s house the day after that when I’ll be wearing faux leather leggings & a cream roll neck jumper. Phew.

Oh I'm so sorry, that is heartbreaking. I hope you and your daughter have a lovely lovely Christmas.

Going to a friend’s house this year for the first time - will probably wear a jumper dress with fancy tights and some nice jewellery.
