It looks like there is a generous Clarins free gift with the fenwicks beauty advent if any one is interested. I was keeping my eye on it to see if it was reduced further so I am not buying it .

OK, still plenty on the shelves so here is a photo of the ingredients for anyone who is up for a proper comparison with the original! (zoom in..)

Happy final (for some ) Advent Calendar Day! Sorry I disappeared from posting, but have kept lurking and enjoying reading about all the items! Also admiring the boxes, some gorgeous ones but I adore the Brown Thomas one for nostalgia (although I still automatically think Switzer’s ) @OchonAgusOchonOh and everyone else with the BT one!

I have been pleased with the NUXE ones as some lovely stuff, their lip balm is my favourite and despite being in hospital, where my skin is like the Sahara, is still going. Their hand cream lasted a week but I loved it as it sank in so quickly and didn’t leave it feeling greasy. I didn’t get any perfume in mine and I was sure it was meant to (I’m not really with it and apologies I can’t remember who else had NUXE. I’m going to try all the creams etc at home properly and will assess. Happy 24th everyone!

@ThePeopleBowedAndPrayedToTheNeonGodTheyMade I hope you get better soon, I was sooo happy for you when you announced the Nuxe AC gift you received from your DH. A real gem (the AC but your DH also). Have you tried Elizabeth Arden 8 hour lip balm? Or just the standard 8 hour cream on your lips. It might help.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the thread and those who have assisted me with my many questions. It’s my first year and I’ve bought so many things I would never have thought about and have loved all of them. I’ve had a blast! After a bumpy year, stumbling across this thread brought me a lot of joy.

If anyone is interested in hunting it down, I saw the 2024 SpaceNK a/c in the Covent Garden SpaceNK store today. I don’t know what I found odder - that they had one for sale or that it wasn’t reduced 😹

Anyway, if anyone wants to try to get their mitts on it, it was there at 3.30pm today!

I'm enjoying the fragrance 12 days of Christmas advent calendars so much - for me, they've been much better than the main advent calendars. I still think the Harrods fragrance calendar is wonderful value, and worth all the aggravation to get it, but I think the Harvey Nicholls one is actually even exciting. I also bought the Jarrolds 12 days of Christmas calendar from someone on Vinted, and that has also had some really good things in, including fragrances that I've never heard of before and which are lovely. And there are still six days left to go! 😊

I have the Harvey nicks one and I'm really enjoying it too. There are some lovely perfumes in it. Nothing I have actively disliked so far although some I wouldn't buy but will definitely use.

@OchonAgusOchonOh what do you think of the Xerjoff Naxos scent - have you come across that yet in the Harvey Nics calendar? (I emptied mine out so am testing one a day but in a random order) I love it but feel it is a bit too masculine leaning… though it is marketed as unisex…….wondered if it’s just me if others think it is feminine then I will
wear it regardless

I'm going to start my Lumene AC tomorrow for January; ended up opening both John Lewis and M & S for December .

Reminder to anyone to check their John Lewis rewards before 5th January in case they forgot a reward. Just spend my £10 beauty voucher on a couple of beauty xmas/sale items that I wanted to try.

I thought its was quite masculine, ended up selling (male bought it) it and buying Erba Pura instead, but then I do prefer sweet leaning scents.

JL are currently offering me a generous £5 for lingerie and nothing else.

@OchonAgusOchonOh I've not got to that one yet! But I've liked everything so far. I'll report back when I've tried it.
