hanaflower dp is photographer and I have volunteered him to cover sports day. I will have rosy soft-focus a la timotei, while other mother's will be gritty photojournalism.

To be fair the letter writer has admited to feeling self-concious and actually stated she didn't want too feel too dressed up so I presume she does want to fit in with the younger mothers and doesn't know how to dress like them. If she has £400 to spend on a dress then why should we deride her for it?

To take the piss our of Lucia for the way she has interpreted it, well I think that's ok as she clearly has no idea about the mess children make or actually listened to what the letter writer wanted.

I read that on the bus this morning and had a momentary pang of stabbing jealousy at the thought of other people's perfect lives.

At DS's 5th birthday party I wore a witches hat and a cape. Fortunately as I was so old I did not need any further accessories to make a convincing witch.

I'm not sure which of those dresses are best placed for hoicking a faintly green looking child off the back of the bouncy castle.

Ho hum.

so informal tmmj! I think I overdressed for ds's party. Still, I did go for comfy undergarments, at least.

Mumsnut · 25/04/2008 19:51

I think Lucia has a thing for David Downton. Can't be any other reason for his drawings going in.
