Where are we all buying Tretinoin now?

Hi

I'm looking for somewhere new to buy Tret online, both places I've used before are now just gaps in the internet. (Tretinoin Shop UK and Tretinoin Youth). I usually pay around £30 with delivery for a small tube.
I'd prefer not to use a subscription service because I only use two to three nights a week for maintenance now I used to use Dermatica but they had very short use by dates so i had no option other than buying at least ten times a year. I've only needed two normal tubes since May of 23 so quite a significant amount less Tret in the bin.

I don’t take any notice of those use by dates, and it’s still effective.

BeretRaspberry · 27/10/2024 20:38

Dermatica for me too and I also don’t take any notice of the dates anymore.

VelvetChaise · 27/10/2024 20:39

I’ve just ordered from skinorac which was recommended to me. It’s taking quite a while to arrive though

itwasntmetho · 27/10/2024 21:31

Did you add your medical history to skinorac at the checkout?

Thanks for the replies re Dermatica.

Since using the ordinary cream I really prefer it, I always found Dermatica a bit less spready and dragged my skin a bit when I applied it. I find the tubes more comfortable to use.

I'm in India. What is tretinoin called here?

elephantskiss · 27/10/2024 21:36

I use Skin and Me which is a subscription but I'm pretty sure you can pause whenever. With my referral thing, the first is only £3.50 with a bunch of extra freebies (moisturiser, SPF, serum, cleanser) so it's worth a shot then cancel if it's not your thing! The fifth month is also £3.50 if you keep going.

Thank you, but I don't want to hope I get what I want, my skin is looking pretty good because I've been using 0.1%, I don't want to drop down and build up again and there isn't usually a means of communication with these things to say "I don't want anything other than 1% Tret" I want to know what I'm getting before I pay.

I’ve been looking to move from Dermatica too, currently £25 per month, happy to just get straight tret and no compound which means I could buy a tube of tret only.
following for any more recommendations.

I understand, but there was a place to add what level of tret you were already on (if any) when signing up, and there was also a space for a note of anything specific you wanted, as far as I remember, so it seemed like they were trying to take those people into account who were already using decent skincare.

Oh thank you, that's interesting, I don't suppose you can see a use by date on yours?

The ones I have are a couple of years, but I know they put their formulas together at these places and IDK if there is a difference between what you are getting. I know it won't do harm, but I wonder if it gets less effective.

I have heard that it is available across the counter in spain. Is it possible to buy it online from a spanish pharmacy?

I'm pretty sure it comes with the date on it exactly a month from when it's delivered which I very strongly suspect is just a marketing ploy to get you to stick with a monthly subscription but I delay mine slightly as I use it most but not all nights, so I get it delivered closer to every 6 weeks. If a normal bottle lasts a year though, then I can't imagine this stuff only lasting a month or even 3! It's probably good for like 6 months at least. You could always ask customer service, but don't phrase it in such a way that they'll just say monthly and tell you that you need a subscription. I'd be asking for hard evidence of when the effects wear off in actual research. I bet it's not exactly 30 days!

WeRateSquirrels · 28/10/2024 08:19

I also found Dermatica really 'draggy'. The Skin & Me formula is much more spreadable, it does have a date on it, but I ignore it.

PiggyPigalle · 28/10/2024 11:41

I used some Turkish brand, highly promoted by a seller I used to use.
That was really claggy too and didn't seem to work nearly as well as the Retirides which I love but has been clamped down on in the EU.
I'm annoyed at the weeks wasted using the Turkish one.
I'm waiting for a message back from a current supplier, if favourable I'll come back later with the link.

It's ridiculous, all this cloak and dagger. Normal payment operators won't allow it either, I even landed on a Georgia, Russia site who wanted payment in Bitcoin! There are more risky things available openly than Tret.

PiggyPigalle · 28/10/2024 13:15

Shop - Pharmasonline
10% off with code; pharmas10, at checkout.
I've ordered twice, bought three tubes all dated exp. 03/27.

Skin & Me.

My skin is very tolerant to tret apparently. I used to use Dennis Gross and Oskia, was costing me about £100 a month. People did ask me what I used because I had good skin.

I saw a load of people recently & they said 'what are you using now you fucker?'.

Two months on tret, it's amazo.

Would recommend!

No I didn’t. And it just arrived today, so about 2 weeks from the order date. I did pay with the Amazon voucher which was a bit faffy but I was nervous about giving our credit card details.

Bearpawk · 28/10/2024 13:22

I've used tretoninworld in the past

Amazon voucher? I’ve been trying to order from them using PayPal which they claim to accept but getting a ‘not working right now’ error. Will investigate this.

So did I, that's where the awful Turkish one came from.
I looked for a new supplier as they didn't get back for eight hours for payment, so I found who I have now.
When she did get back, I nicely said why, that I thought the order had failed and she rudely cut me off!

I just went to order the 1% Tretiheal Cream from pharmas, back in stock in a few days apparently.

I had the same issue with PayPal, and refused to scan my ID document for their other payment option. But the Amazon voucher worked fine.
The expiry date of the tubes I ordered is mid 2026 and it’s the brand I prefer (Menarini A-Ret gel) so all seems good

Thank you. I swear it’s easier to buy class A drugs 🤦‍♀️

CactusPeach · 28/10/2024 16:44

I use Dermatica, pause it frequently and don't pay attention to the use by dates.

Bignanna · 28/10/2024 16:45

It’s time it was available OTC!
