Where are we all buying Tretinoin now?

Hi

I'm looking for somewhere new to buy Tret online, both places I've used before are now just gaps in the internet. (Tretinoin Shop UK and Tretinoin Youth). I usually pay around £30 with delivery for a small tube.
I'd prefer not to use a subscription service because I only use two to three nights a week for maintenance now I used to use Dermatica but they had very short use by dates so i had no option other than buying at least ten times a year. I've only needed two normal tubes since May of 23 so quite a significant amount less Tret in the bin.

If you know anyone going to Egypt it’s 50p a tube. I got 3 different strengths x3 for less than a fiver.

Oh wow that is cheap !

@ThatSparklyAquaSnake @Chez344 interested to know more about your experiences of Tazarotene? I switched to it a couple of months ago after reading a post on here and doing some Reddit research - had been using Dermatica tret for a couple of years before then and seen some positive changes but my skin would still get so dry on it even with a good moisturising routine. I’ve been using the Boderm Tazarene 0.05 cream (the blue tube) which I bought from a Spanish website - Mifarma. So far seems not to upset my skin, can’t say I’ve noticed any improvements in terms of texture etc but it’s still quite early days I suppose.

Zingmeds. It comes from India so takes about 2 weeks to come though

I can’t comment for the Egyptian tret, but never had any issues with mine, products are generally much cheaper abroad due to lower taxes, less red tape and costs.

i use taz on my face aswell as for psoriasis, face wise I did see some improvement, although I have been use tretinoin for years so I didn’t expect to see many gains. Psoriasis wise it’s been great to help reduce the redness, and helping me feel much more confident with having my legs out during the summer x

Tafelberg · 13/08/2025 07:41

Thanks @ThatSparklyAquaSnake that’s good to hear, I know how miserable psoriasis can be. Do you still use tretinoin on your face now too then?

MrsGuyOfGisbo · 13/08/2025 09:27

I have got lots of compliments on my skin since starting Dermatica in January. Initially didn’t think I would continue as when I was sweating (skiing) the salt in the sweat (sorry!!!) seemed to make my skin sting. But settled down and I love it. I don’t get through the whole lot before the next delivery so now trying it on my upper arms to see if it helps with the loose skin wrinkles 😀😀.

I think I bought mine from an Indian pharmacy. I’m not sure if there’s an issue on some sites sending to the uk now, for those who are having problems finding it on sites that they may have used before. I buy melatonin from a French pharmacy, have din for years now (unless I’m somewhere I can by otc). I usually buy a years supply at a time. At no point has there ever been a problem. I’m due now but suddenly it’s almost impossible. The French pharmacies are now saying - when you get to check out - that suddenly they are no longer able to send to the uk. The main pharmacy I’ve used before then signposted me to a uk site they have now but when you search there is no melatonin available on the uk sites at all. So now now I’m left trying to find a way to actually get hold of it. I’m not sure what has happened within the last year but at some point the import of melatonin has been blocked and I’m wondering if others are finding there might be a similar issue in purchasing pure tret from places they used to but it just being absent on the site or you’re getting to checkout and suddenly you can’t get it. I’m not sure what the uk govt have changed this year but I do wonder if they’re now trying to block melatonin (I don’t want to get it on prescription and will find a way!) then maybe other prescription only drugs such as tret (apart from the sites like dematica etc) may also be included in this.
I ordered 0.025, 0.05 and 0.1, and I’m really not very good at using them but may need to repurchase the 0.1 first but it’ll be a while before I need to do that so hopefully if I can remember the site need to order more it’ll be ok.
I would still recommend it from Indian pharmacies as much cheaper (I think a lot is manufactured there, as I’ve previously had the exact same ones from elsewhere too and it seems to pop up a lot), and it is comparably cheaper and genuine product.
eta: I see my appalling typos, forgive me. I really think too many to edit so just I’m just going to try and ignore them and hope I still make sense! 😄

Shop - Pharmasonline
10% off with code; pharmas10, at checkout.
I've ordered twice, bought three tubes all dated exp. 03/27.

I ordered some from here due to this recommendation. It literally came the next day, has an expiry of 2027! Thanks so much for this!

Just ordered! Thank you! If it’s good I can cancel my Dermatica subscription

DoctorMartin · 16/08/2025 21:52

My tretinoin from Pharma Online arrived today, three days after ordering. Definitely recommend - it was £25 and looks like it will last months.

proname · 26/08/2025 17:31

Hi Doll, I would personally argue it depends on your skin and how it reacts to products, I personally started on a high concentration as that’s all I could get at the time and would apply every five days or so until my skin acclimatised to it, now use everyday unless my skins is feel sore or I’m trying new things.

Have you used any retinol products before like the ordinary ? - that’s also a factor I would consider, I had been using the ordinary stuff for years so my skin was semi use to retinoids. Although at a weaker concentration x

MrCarloo · 29/08/2025 11:50

I get your frustration — most UK services push subscriptions, which isn’t ideal if you only need a couple of tubes a year. Since tretinoin is prescription-only here, your best bet is private providers like Modafinia or DermaCareHub, which sometimes allow one-off orders instead of monthly plans. Some private pharmacies also issue single prescriptions with longer-dated tubes, closer to what you’re used to. If you’d like, I can compile a list of current UK options that don’t require a subscription.

Did you try Modafinia or Dermacarehub??

fatphalange · 02/09/2025 15:03

Does anyone know what the percentage of ‘retinol’ (Tret??) is in the Boots retinoid cream? I’ve been using SkinandMe but I feel it would be so much more straight forward to just buy these products on my lunch break at work than take chances ordering online. I’m looking go up a percentage.
Do people order from chemists because the percentages are higher/more concentrated?
Sorry I’m not very clued up!

Onlyseeingitnow · 02/09/2025 15:55

I have been using Skin and Me for 2 months now. Not sure what I am supposed to see? Should I be exfoliating as well?

Quoting myself to say, I’ve now read that retinol and tretinoin are two different things 🤦‍♀️. I’m going to stick with the latter

Branster · 02/09/2025 16:06

It is available (again!!!! Yay!) in Greece over the counter. One of my converted friends, who knows about my obsession and agrees with it, brought me some last month as a lovely surprise.
I also get it from India sometimes.
Basically if you ever hear a friend going to either countries, give them £50 cash and ask them to buy as much the money can stretch. Very cheap and, most importantly, available over the counter at most chemists.
I tend to ignore expiry dates on these and they have been fine.

Lucybird · 29/01/2026 21:57

Hi
I use rootandradiance.co.uk their questionnaire was quick to fill and delivered within 2 days. I like that im not tied into any subscription model and i could choose the strength i needed. I was then able to slowly increase at my own pace. The 0.025% cream 30g is £34 (free delivery), cheapest i have seen anywhere else.

NiftyDenimEagle · 29/01/2026 22:12

I used to use dermatica but switched to rootandradiance.co.uk as i could choose the strength i needed - i’ve worked my way up to 0.1% after 2 years on tret. The tube is much bigger than dermatica so you definitely get value for money!
