What should a fat middle aged woman wear on a beach holiday?

Title says it all really [sigh]

Last time I was on a beach holiday was in another century, when I was size 8 and toned. I have no idea what to wear now

My tummy is better than my lardy arse and my fat, white, lumpy, veiny thighs. But not toned exactly, no.

islingtonponce · 23/04/2008 23:05

random typos. sorry.

zippitippitoes · 23/04/2008 23:07

on flotilla you can wear lots of fatface ripcurl animal etc surf stuff

Blu · 23/04/2008 23:09

linen tunics over loose trousers or knee length loose shorts - choose a deep v neck to flatter.

Choose 'sohisticated' colours and simple arty jewellry.

Look, we all have wobbly bits even the thin ones.
A good costume and some nice cover ups for walking around.

Also have a look at these products for instant glowing skin
I saw someone with 'Pin Perfection Invisible Tights' - her legs looked brilliant.

rosa - if you are young enough to do the sporty look you could do the bikini top with boarder shorts thing

Miraclesuit swimsuit as per islingtonponce is a great idea - I have one, 5'4", 12 stone (should be 9 stone) but check out ebay for half price versions or if using figleaves.com, google for discount vouchers as there always seem to be some.

BlinkingNoraWotzThat · 23/04/2008 23:14

coudl you say more about teh stylish hat please ponce? i asssume you do not mean the kids baseball caps

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 23/04/2008 23:20

now i have a bog standard speedo

islingtonponce · 23/04/2008 23:26

NO sarongs.

dont know what hats suit you but you want something wide brimmed, a bit floppy. plain colour to go with everything. accesorize are really good for cheap hats. oh, and good for nice beach bag / capacious holiday bags too. definitely add nice bag to list. you dont want to be lounging by pool with your everyday leather handbag.

zippitippitoes · 23/04/2008 23:27

and who r u islington ponce

islingtonponce · 23/04/2008 23:27

i am controlfreaky, seeing if my new name makes me less controlling (whilst still a ponce, obviously)

zippitippitoes · 23/04/2008 23:29

thanks for clearing that up

KristinaM · 23/04/2008 23:33

I woudl never DREAM of taking my leather handbag - i was going to use an asda plastic bag

but i am scared to now i knwo who you are ponce

why no sarong? [pouts]

OP posts:
BlinkingNoraWotzThat · 23/04/2008 23:35
