I’m liking the scarf and blouse.

Ironic that someone would spend €525 . on a jumper saying Okay Boomer.
Obviously not that hard done to by the boomer generation if they can fritter that much on a mediocre piece of clothing.

🙄 No thanks. They can fuck off with their ageism. And I am not a boomer.

KirstenBlest · 16/10/2024 10:01

The Batsheva jumper is horrible.

I’m 50. Does that mean I could have stopped trying 15 years ago?

Cool. I’m going back to bed in my dressing gown. Look for me in 10 years time, lying in a pool of my own waste.

🙄

I am a product reviewer for M&S, when I was sent the pictures of the slogan jumpers a while back I fed back with why would a woman want a slogan like "Honey" written across her chest 😂

In solidarity with Winne the Pooh? The honey you eat was what came to mind first albeit I am from up North and that's not a word I have heard much up here in a saying it to a woman way.

crowgift · 16/10/2024 13:24

I'm interested in a pinstripe suit. I wonder what the fabric will be like. I'd have to order online as my local won't be stocking the collection. Let me know if anyone sees it in the wild.
I don't like slogan jumpers, maybe a jumper that just says "NON"

LaurieFairyCake · 16/10/2024 18:41

I would LOVE a jumper that said NON! - go into business and make it !

Or FFS would be good too Grin

crowgift · 16/10/2024 18:45

I may have to do it Laurie - if you see a middle aged woman in a NON jumper and a pinstripe suit, it's me.
From the feature above it seems the pinstripe suit has "minimal stretch" but the rest of the composition remains a mystery.

piccolorhinoceros · 17/10/2024 08:13

Has anyone ordered anything? I've placed an order for a few jumpers and the jeans, but more because I expect it'll sell out. I'll return almost all of it, maybe even all of it.

Summerdew · 17/10/2024 08:26

I’ve got the jeans too. I didn’t see the point in a jumper when she does such amazing sample sales where the cashmere costs less than this.

Noeggsontoast · 17/10/2024 08:49

I ordered the jeans, blouse in cream, suit and sweaters to try. I need a suit and I'd like a new sweater, so most will get returned. My local store never stocks any of these edits, so have to order just to see and try on.

LunaNorth · 17/10/2024 08:51

I got the ‘Divine Feminine’ jumper in charcoal. I love a slogan, and it’s a nice nod to my feminist ways.

Hepherlous · 17/10/2024 08:57

I bought the blue sky merino jumper in black. Like that the trousers are different lengths so may buy those.

MrsMitford3 · 17/10/2024 09:01

Cricket jumper sold out online in my size.

Annoyed I forgot first thing-what is the point of being woken up by the dogs next door very early if I don't remember to shop???

Shopgirl1 · 17/10/2024 09:22

I got the blazer and black polo …not sure I’ll keep that, quality not amazing. The trousers are lovely, but I needed the long length and none in store and sold out online.
Didnt bother with the scarf, the yellow wasn’t what I was hoping for.

Floisme · 17/10/2024 09:25

Ordered the pinstripe blazer. It's 40% wool which doesn't scream 'quality!' but is actually better than I expected. I'm after a specific shape - longish and androgynous but reasonably slim fitting - and if this one is right then I'll wear it loads. If not, it'll go back and I'll be quite relieved as I have other demands on my spare cash.

I guess for me it's accessibility and familiarity? I wouldn't go out of my way to buy Bella Freud clothes, but this collab means it's on my radar, and I know delivery and returns will be straightforward. I've looked at what's available currently in the sample sale and most of it is more than I'd want to pay, and certainly more than the M&S collab prices.

Sorry! I wasn’t meaning to be dismissive of the jumpers, which if I couldn’t get to her sample sales in person I would have bought them all. I actually have the blue sky from a sample sale last year in navy. I more meant that she does an in person event once a year with piles of jumpers and the cashmere is about £100 and so it’s easier for me to go and get one there as it’s local rather than trying to check out online in a rush this morning.
Sorry again, in no way did I mean this as badly as it came across.

Shopgirl1 · 17/10/2024 10:00

Just to add on the above, the trousers are a great shape and decent length. I’m 6ft and the regular ones just needed an extra inch or two. I’ll be stalking the site for returns.

youheard · 17/10/2024 10:08

LOL, having planned to be on this at 8 am Shop I was up in the night feeling sick and so decided to have a lie-in, by the time I remembered to look everything had gone in my size.

I’m taking this as a sign I have too many clothes and don’t really need any more, but I’ll also keep an eye out for returns and more importantly for reviews on here to see if they’re all that - interested in the blazer and trousers, even though I would not wear them as a trouser suit 🤣 and the jeans.

crowgift · 17/10/2024 10:49

Missed out on the trouser suit - went out of stock in my size/length before I could check out. Good that it's available in different lengths. Will wait to see what the reviews are like and then stalk the returns.

LaurieFairyCake · 17/10/2024 10:49

I've bought both of the tote bags but couldn't get the cricket jumper in the brown. I don't think acid yellow is one of my colours so I'm not risking it.

Don't worry, no offence taken! I just meant I guess the whole point of these collabs is to make these designers more accessible to the masses (me 😆). If I was in London I imagine I'd be at these sample sales with you, but unfortunately I'm about 400 miles away and miss out on so many of those things.

I really wish I'd got the cricket jumper in brown, it was available in my size but I didn't want it enough then. But I have FOMO now. I expect there will be lots of returns, I ordered the jumpers in two sizes to get the best fit.

YouOKHun · 17/10/2024 12:04

I'm also not keen on the slogan knitwear. It's Live Laugh Love in fabric form. What are these kind of slogans about? Irony? Individuality? Fun? Knowing cleverness? It can't be any of those. On a sweatshirt is one thing but it's a bit of a commitment to have a slogan on cashmere.
