I know what you mean, LL - I was a bit at the 'as worn by' bits.

AitchTwoOhelicopterfraek · 20/04/2008 16:13

i think that's just how the young people like their fashion nowadays... pre-cooled by the hag, fag'n'shag mags.

largeginandtonic · 20/04/2008 18:17

Love the first yellow dress you linked to Cod, wish it could wear it. Sadly i have awful legs and cover them up at every opprtunity. I loved a bright yellow jacket in M&S on Sat, really wanted it.

Will keep an eye out for you Fran

MrsJC offer open if you change your mind.

LL it is useful living so close to all the best outlet shops, we have probably passed each other.

Pmsl at the tall architects i thought that too when i clicked on the link! I also though my god that would drown me. Regular clothes are like dragging a wedding train behind me.

Love the spotty dress you linked to LL.

How about this one - not 100% convinced about the double-breastedness of it: might not work with norks.

cheers cod

am very light brown, and the dress is slightly brighter green than it shows on there

what colour would you suggest?

TheBlonde · 20/04/2008 22:17

I have tried on approx 40 monsoon dresses now so can happily advise on them

PenelopePitstops · 20/04/2008 22:44

oo the blonde have you tried the one i linked to earlier? any ideas?!

margoandjerry · 20/04/2008 23:13

Great thread.

I have an August wedding to go to - close friend so effort required. My constraints are:

Shocking legs so must be below knee
Big boobs
OK waist

I liked the style of LittleLapin's spotty dress but the pattern was a bit boring. Would have been a winner if it was in cherries or something but not polka dots.

Liked this on the anthropologie site but medium ain't gonna cut it.

Have trawled through all of Monsoon and Hobbs but the former are too prom dressy or floaty for me and the latter are usually too structured or slightly on the dull side.

margoandjerry · 20/04/2008 23:28

Also this

and this for something a bit more unusual but I'm not sure how you wear it.

TheBlonde · 21/04/2008 08:13

PenelopePitstops - I couldn't find the green one in the shop but looks lovely
Might be a bit pale for teaming with black?

I quite like
gracie brown

angel sleeve only saw it in black so didn't try on, quite low in the front

Chiara Encrusted Neckline

PenelopePitstops · 21/04/2008 08:23

thanks the blonde!
it is more green iyswim in reality, not sure why it looks so pale on there, its more of a lime green than anything! might go try some other colours with it

fransmom · 22/04/2008 14:29

who said i old? iam 33 and bit and yes, ll i do have pale skin.

Ledodgy · 23/04/2008 10:17

Ok I need a dress for a wedding next month im 5"7, DD norks and a size 16 nearing a 14 by then. I'm quite trendy in my style so dont want anything boden or sloany more funky iyswim and when I say trendy I dont mean in a WAG maxi dress etc way!

Ledodgy · 23/04/2008 10:27
