I love those shoes! I am too tall but if anyone has seen anything similar with a low heel please let me know. Oh I want to be able to wear lovely shoes

margoandjerry · 04/06/2008 22:52

ooh likey (and thanks for responses btw).

Are gold shoes ok or are they a bit...um... bingo? Can I say that?

I'm tempted to like.

used2bthin · 04/06/2008 22:54

I think those ones are gorgeous and it depends on the shade of gold so you'd prob be best off seeing them in RL.

DH's sister is getting married in July, he will be an usher and therefore in tails.

Me: 14 bottom/16top but heading towards 12/14 by then I hope (ha ha). Busty, athletic/slim hips and bum but bit of a tum still after baby. I want to wear this dress in brown mainly because I have tried it on in black and it was very flattering to my shape and so comfy as well as looking smart - but I sent it back as being too smart for me (I dress down all the time).

What could I team it with to stop it from looking plain? Will wear with Funky Phase multistrand wooden necklace with large oval disc of abalone. Looks nicer than it sounds.

Need jacket really and some wedge heels (suede?) as I am a short ass who can't really walk in heels and need the wedge for extra support.

I am a light spring in Colour Me Beautiful (mid length dark warm blond with highlights)so the cocoa colour of the dress is one of my "neutrals". Any colour which complements it would be good - teal maybe?

not too crazy...lurvely! might look like a piglet on stilts though?

margoandjerry · 05/06/2008 09:43

Love those littlelapin. You are a great source of shoes.

Columbo, I have that dress in black and I love it. Really comfortable and flattering. I wear it with shocking pink wedge heels sometimes and that could look good with brown as well.

If you are after teal, there's these from Hobbs here. There's also a pair of patent mary jane style shoes in teal in the sale here

Also I know you don't want heels but a wedge version of this might be nice possibly?

ColumboEtc · 05/06/2008 09:46

Since I am unfortunately little thicker in the lower leg than I used to be, an ankle strap is out really. Maybe these Halle wedges?

I'd probably get the chocolate ones since I'd then be able wear them again.

And this 3/4 sleeve new heather jacket

God it's so safe though.

ColumboEtc · 05/06/2008 09:54

I totally love this but it is a bit short innit?

ColumboEtc · 05/06/2008 09:56

aha M&J yes like those Hobbs wedges, crossed posts on those!

margoandjerry · 05/06/2008 10:07

Yes that's lovely. Would look shocking on me. In fact, wouldn't get it past my boobs so I'd have to wear it as a cowl.

Am a size 14 apple - big boobs & baby tummy, good legs, not a big fan of my arms - 5ft4 but will wear high shoes.

Wedding end of month - fairly relaxed occasion but want to look pretty. Pic of me on profile so you can see my colouring.
