this is pretty and a bargain. Maybe the navy would be better

perfect colour with your hair colour

TillyScoutsmum · 30/04/2008 18:41

this one ?

TillyScoutsmum · 30/04/2008 18:46

lovely colour for you again

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 30/04/2008 18:57

Ok find me shoes and accessories to go with this: www.picchumaternity.com/uk/acatalog/occeve_shift_dress.html

Got the purple dress with purples ribbon.

Ledodgy · 06/05/2008 10:20

just ordered this to try on

fransmom · 08/05/2008 10:11

for me?

Ledodgy · 09/05/2008 09:16

That's nice Fransmum. Well i've decided that floaty dresses are a big no, no on me and the best ones are tulipy style. I ordered one from next and it fits perfectly until it hits my norks. It's so annoying I don't know why shops don't make dresses for cup sizes iyswim especially when they have a kind of cross over detail and a seam under the norks. There's no point in me getting the size up as this will be too big everywhere else. [sigh] On the plus side i've lost a stone now so onwards and upwards!

Ledodgy · 09/05/2008 09:40

Just spoke to sil and she's going to come round later and take a pattern off the Next dress and make it bigger where I need it and make a dress for me herself!

fransmom · 09/05/2008 11:44

brill!

fransmom · 21/05/2008 16:54

i still haven't foundone i thought i had the other day but it was size 14.

fransmom · 25/05/2008 14:42

hellooooooooooooo?

JackieNo · 25/05/2008 16:31

OK fransmom - remind me (I've scanned through, but it's a pretty long thread now) - you're size 10/12, red hair, straight up and down, budget £50, want something summery and floaty, yes? Anything I've missed?

JackieNo · 25/05/2008 16:32

Can you do sleeveless/thin straps/strapless, or do you want sleeves or a shrug?

JackieNo · 25/05/2008 16:40

Quite plain but a lovely colour.
Purple can work well for redheads.
I love this colour, but I don't know whether it would work on you.

JackieNo · 25/05/2008 16:44

Lovely and summery.
Also pretty
With sleeves (I think it's navy rather than black background, but not sure).
Definitely navy

JackieNo · 25/05/2008 16:48

Stunning colour, not 100% convinced about the shape.
Maybe a bit daytimey
Definitely flowery but not floaty, as it's linen.

Moosma · 26/05/2008 17:02

Right you clever lot, now I need some help for my poor mother, she is 56 and size 8 (and a small one at that) she is sausage shaped, ie no curves, thick waisted. She doesn't want to wear strappy as (in her words) "My bits next to my arm pits stick out all squidgey"

She doesn't want anything too bright which would stand out in the photos, but doesn't want dreary black either.

So, any suggestions?

JackieNo · 26/05/2008 17:46

Are we looking for a dress only, or a dress plus jacket?

JackieNo · 26/05/2008 17:54

OK - quite dark, but not black - brown, with sleeves. Wrap effect should help create shape/curves.
Red (poss too bright), so also similar in navy.

JackieNo · 26/05/2008 17:57

Pretty colour.
Ooh this is nice, with more of a sleeve, too.

JackieNo · 26/05/2008 18:04

Brown again - nice with some gold accessories.
similar but with long sleeves.
Maybe a bit too much pattern but a nice shape.

Moosma · 26/05/2008 18:09

I'd think she'd turn her nose up at the darker ones as she wants something quite summery, the blue Monsoon one is a hopeful though. Any more?

JackieNo · 26/05/2008 19:19

OK - floral but not too bright?
Another wrap
I like this, not sure the shape would suit her though. Worth a try, maybe.
Out of stock online, but you might find it in rl shops.
Another pretty print
Pretty blue.

JackieNo · 26/05/2008 19:21

Tea dress
Ooh - pink (or coral pink)?

Moosma · 26/05/2008 19:24

Ooh Jackie, you are good at this! I think the pink rosy one is probably the best out of those (typical it's the out of stock one). Now hows about a jacket? [hopeful]
