Fabulous Lipsticks - How Often Do You Wear?

I live in a cosy market town, Barbour wellies and Shoffel gilet type.
Do not see much lipstick worn here or day-to-day in my corporate office. I love a lipstick though only have 2, but spend hours looking at them online and always swatch something new when out and about.

Curious about all the lipsticks I see in shops - what happens to them, if I see so few women wear bright colours. How often do you wear yours?

I go through phases but at the moment most days, it brightens the day I think. A lot of people only wear them in the evening. It used to be more hassle with reapplication, but you get more formulas now thst stay on without drying.

I’d break out the lipstick if I were you!

I wear red lipstick every single day. It’s like my trademark. If people saw me without lipstick they would think I was ill.

I wear a bright berry colour every day - also in the sticks. I've never noticed what other people do!

I wear lipstick every day. I match it to my nail varnish usually or just wear a dark muted pink. I like apricot, red, pinky/purple and burgundy.

I don’t wear trainers, I wear dresses, jewellery and makeup and I have a bouncy long hairstyle every day and at the weekend. It does not take long to look like this, 15 mins in the morning.

I don't think lipstick is so 'out there' that you need to worry about what other people do, to fit in.

I wear it every day - have a few colours on the go - only colour I never wear is red - would love to but always looks strange on me

I wear lipstick or lipglosss or balm if I'm gardening, going to the beach , work or out for dinner

Two or three times a year. Usually just use rosy tinted Vaseline.

I wear lipstick( and concealer) daily
I can't wear nudes as they make me look like a corpse
My favourites are Mac So You and Clinique Love pop. Medium pink shades
However I wear it for me, not to fit in.
It brightens my face( as my Late DM used to say!)

I wear lipsticks but have so many that I’m not sure which could be referred to as my fabulous ones. My Dior red one which I could’ve easily worn last week with a Zara red cropped blazer i chickened out of.

There is one lipstick that when I tried it on and went back to the office I got loads of compliments but from male colleagues too, wish I’d gone back and bought it. Mac Rebel Rose was a fave too but all used up and not sure what I did with them.

I mainly wfh but have a selection on my desk for online meetings. I love a tinted lip oil and wear one most days as well.

I dont wear it to work (nightshifts so Id probably rub it off when tired!) but I do wear it the rest of the time.
I use a fairly neutral shade and TBH its because it seems to be better then lip balm at stopping my lips getting flaky!

@PearlsAreGirlsBestFriend I cannot believe you only have 2 but love lipstick. Get some more and wear them with pride. I have lots of lipsticks. My main shades are pinks, mauves and berries. I love the L'Oreal ones in the gold bullet, Lancome and chubby stick style ones. I usually team them with a matching liner. I do not like the long lasting liquid ones, they make my lips look and feel dreadful.

@BusterGonad You’d be proud of me today, I spent 4 hours lipstick shopping today. Bought YSL Loveshine 209 and Kiko lipgloss 22.

Next month I have lined up another Loveshine 150 and Revlon Glass Rum & Raisin. Definitely glossy woman, not matte. Looking out for juicy wine colour for winter.

No stopping me now. 🌷💄😘

Not even once since winter 2021-22.

I don't understand lipstick or gloss, I try it every so often and my hair gets stuck in it and it feels weird on my lips and it's just uncomfortable and makes marks on cups, Is it something you just get used to over time?
I'm in my 40's and I really should have mastered this by now

Wear it every day, even if at home alone. Makes me feel better.

Lipstick everyday. Even if I'm not leaving the house.

I am very proud of you. I love the Revlon Glass shine ones. Good choice! The Revlon normal lipsticks are good quality too.

It's got so that when I fly, my plastic bag for liquid/paste/gel is filled with lipstick and little else.
I use three muted shades (a peachy nude, a beige nude and a matte terracotta) regularly and I have some bright oranges and reds for occasional use.
I don't think I'd put it on if I wasn't leaving the house but even if I'm wearing no/little makeup it's a quick and easy way to feel polished.

I am fairly plain but I do have semi permanent colour on my lips and then I use the 24 hour lip stairs every single day
some days quite a punchy colour but mostly a muted pink

I only use the Maybelline Superstay now as it stays on throughout the day, rather than wearing off after five minutes. I wear it every day, but I normally wear natural shades. The brightest I'll go is a pink colour, I don't suit red lipstick at all, it washes me out.

Yay, go you, lipstick rocks, lol. I wear it every day - numerous shades on the go, it depends what I am wearing. Love a red Dior shade for work, especially if on Teams calls.

Love it, but I can't get it to stay on even the longer lasting ones. Plus dries my lips.

I usually put a bit of balm on first then all over in a lip pencil ( clinique crushed berry is my fave) then top with a gloss or oil.

Varying shades of bright red. Every day. Red lipstick makes me feel magnificent.

I wear red and only red, every single day. My lips have basically no colour so nudes make me look like death or a weird shop mannequin 😆 Revlon most often and it stays on alllll day.
