Starting a new thread for @Lwrenn who is slaying in her compression stockings right now.

I am also testing out mega babe thigh rescue today for the first time. I usually wear shorts under everything but it does get a bit hot. I have already had to reapply it once though so not sure it’s gonna work for me? Perimenopausal sweaty minger means it just slides off…… 😳

@Lwrenn thank you, the dress and shoes were from Mountain Warehouse, they had a sale on a few weeks ago, cardigan is White Stuff but a few years old now.

Are the shoes comfy? I'm not good with shoes unless they're like walking on air. I'm quite clumsy so heels aren't even considered.

Also has anyone here ever worn anything by needle and thread? I'm wondering about sizing and quality! There's often plenty of them on ebay/vinted.
I wouldn't buy a wedding dress from new, it's too much for one day for me to justify.
I'm supposed to be getting married in 2026 but we've so far not booked anything, not looked anywhere but important things first, the dress 🤣🤣

@Lwrenn they are comfy, but I have a black pair which are Skechers which are even more comfy.

@Lwrenn it’s well worth looking for wedding dresses second hand, I bought an Alfred Angelo with an amazing train and a Monsoon wedding dress with a smaller skirt for the evening both BNWT for under £200. Picture of the Alfred Angelo (a bit blurred due to cropping)

I love the sleeves and their length of your dress. I'm definitely not paying for a new one. I'm quite tight when it comes to clothes, unless it's something I'll really get use out of I can't justify it.
I think if I was a millionaire I'd be like this though. 😂

Had to go out yesterday at Short notice, which resulted in this ensemble. Triple leopard print 😂 😳 (let's ignore the 4th which was my invisible socks).

Dress is hellbunny think it was £8 from vinted. Waistcoat is probably 15years old. Hat stolen from husband. Boots total bargain from vinted as well.

Need to catch up and see who and what has been posted 💕

Folks make sure to drink enough at the minute. It's very easy to become dehydrated and not realise (me yesterday)

@Evenstar love the dress/cardy combo. The dress is a great shape on you. Have you ever tried an empire line belt? I don't look good with A belt on my natural waist, only the empire line. I think that means something re proportions buti just had a feeling you might suit it too. Lovely to see the wedding dress pic. Those sleeves are adorable

Talking about heels etc, I'm a pure flats girl. Chronic pain and terrible balance 😂. The Guess boots have a tiny heel, even that's unusual. The last two weddings I went to I wore sparkly trainers, and DM boots.

@Lwrenn how exciting, a wedding!! I got a dress second hand, my rings are vintage. You have to be true to yourself and I'm not a flashy spend person. My dress was under£100. 👰 Are you going for white??? 💕

I was shocked because I tried it on not long back and wouldn't fit. Yes @TruthThatsHardAsSteel we are, I am 44. Definitely I will be 70 and searing whatever the hell I like😂.

I am nearly 60 @ChishiyaBat and @TruthThatsHardAsSteel there isn’t an age limit on enjoying ourselves with clothes and expressing ourselves 🥰

Had to go to town today for birthday cards and a browse, it's hottish so I wore my new dress and the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn.

They are, they were a random purchase £24 on amazon and they are on summer number 3, they are so comfy, they had chains all over them which I removed because they kept getting stuck under my toes and foot. Wish I had got another pair when I realised how comfy they were。
