I've been doing some DIY the last few days so have lived in oversize t shirts and joggers lol
Today, I took our youngest to get his new school uniform. He's going into Secondary school so was like a mortgage payment lol
We got ourselves a Mango cooler from Costa each and sat by the water fountains in the town. I wore one of my favourite maxi skirts, with a bright orange strappy top and a white kimono over the top so my shoulders didn't burn. Loving maxi skirts at the moment 🩷

They're so free and floaty. Love that some of them you can wear in cold months as well as summer months. Bargain 😊🫶

I am wearing shorts. By choice. For the first time ever. Wearing them under duress at school was not my idea of fun.

I’m not sure I’d wear them out just yet, but believe me this is a huge moment for me.

We’re just back from holiday, has been very odd watching the news and feeling rather removed from home.

I managed to take a tumble and make some very impressive scrapes all down my knees and shins. So maxi dresses for me for the next few weeks! Might have a look on Vinted, see if I can find a skirt as lovely as @Soccermumamir ’s.

@mixedpeel love that you’ve rediscovered shorts. I always have mixed feelings about them but when it’s hot shorts and a loose top are just the coolest things, I live in them. Need some new ones though, eyeing up @OhRex ’s jorts, they look great!

Oh no @GoingDownDown sympathies, I managed to trip over a drain cover in the garden yesterday just before we left for a family birthday celebration. I am very stiff, but my hands were OK and my grazed legs and foot were covered by my midi dress for the party.

Glad people are considering shorts! I have a hopeful pair in my wardrobe, but we'll see. My legs are actually maybe the best bit of me, but I'm super pale (redhead!) and it's this aspect that puts me off. Silly really, as I think pale legs look lovely on other people! I am however allowing my dresses to get shorter and shorter in length! I may even wear a knee length one soon, that I've just rediscovered.

Hello! I've been absent!

Went to Latitude last week which was super busy (I was working for an organisation I volunteer with, we did workshops in the kids' area.) full outfit changes most days!

Then back to work.

I'm on hols after Thursday. Cannot wait! My teen has body issues so we've had some conversations about how I'll go in the sea if they do. We'll go to beaches where no one knows us, and it won't matter what anyone thinks of us. Fingers crossed we don't bottle it!!

I'm going to take clothes I love and feel good in.

I bought a green top in John Lewis a while back, it's GORGEOUS!! Pic attached. (That's the advertising pic, not me! )

I don't do shorts, but I love cut down jeans. I decorated mine last week to tart them up a bit. And to hide the shabby seam lines from where I let them down!

It feels so daft to post this when we've other pals on sections of this site scared to leave their homes but I went out yesterday and some lady in passing, maybe 10 years or so older than me in gym gear looked at me, I'm a smiley type so I smiled and she just said, "you need to go on a diet" but smiled back as she said it. It was so shocking. I didn't say anything because I just felt stupid. I ran back to the car (dp was feeding the baby) and burst into tears. It's been on of my first day's out properly since my stomach has healed. It was only at the local shop.
Dp was livid. He wanted to say something to her but what do you say, "excuse me miss, that wasn't nice?" 😂 I think she was aware it wasn't!
Anyway I thought I looked cool yesterday anyway so sod her and her mean girl attitude!

@Lwrenn what a horrible woman, we could go on a diet if we wanted to, but she can’t change her spiteful nasty nature. I expect she doesn’t have many friends if that is how she speaks to people she doesn’t even know.

@Evenstar thank you! And absolutely that, she can't have many friends at all behaving like that.
I feel silly even giving her the headspace but I'm not the only big lass to have those comments and won't be the last. As long as I don't dwell on it or let it stop me being happy, then sod her.

Today I'm going to wear sparkly eyeshadow, providing a get a minute 🙈and continue to be fabulous!

I’m plus size really struggling with my confidence and with fashion /knowing what to wear and with what looks good .

I have mostly been struggling since having my son .i feel so self conscious and like I’m never “put together “which I hate not being. I feel frumpy and it’s making me anxious when going out because people must think I don’t care about how I look ..I want to make more effort with my appearance and be more confldent for my son’s sake .So was just wandering if you any tips /tricks for confidence as a plus size lady .As I said earlier I’m terrible with fashion and knowing what looks good etc .so would really appreciate some good fashion advice and some outfit idea for spring , summer , autumn and winter as I simply don’t know what I’m doing and therefore tend to look messy/frumpy day to day which I hate .
I really love country style clothes,floral clothes and dresses but can’t seem make myself look put together and as though I’ve made an effort which is really important to me .i also have a big bust that I often feel self conscious about .

So i Really need cute plus size outfits
Please put idea ,inspiration and photos below if you are comfortable

@Lwrenn I'm sorry you met with such an awful person 💐I imagine how cruel she must have been treated and how ugly she must be inside if she needs to treat others like this... I bet she was envious of your bright light: it may sound cheesy, but envy is so obvious once you learn to recognize it! For us, having learnt that our bodies are not "socially accepted", it may be hard to imagine being the target of envy but trust me: that awful person was sick with it.
