Shower gel - best luxury product

Please let me know, have you GENUINELY found a shower gel you love and think yes this is worth £20+? I'm really into luxury makeup and candles but shower gel I don't really know much about

I have used Molton Brown and it’s lovely but I prefer my shower gel to be thicker. I recently picked up M&S Pink Pepper perfume and the matching shower gel and I am impressed with it. For £20 you would probably be able to buy three bottles of it.

I was given the rhubarb, vanilla and rose body wash from M&S as a gift and it's lush. So I went and got the equally nice body lotion of the same scent. A lot cheaper than £20 but really nice and is my nice shower gel.

I also rate the M&S apothecary range

I came on to recommend the m and s one, not sure if it's fragrance society, it's the one in the dark brown bottles, like a spa range, smells lovely, and feels much more luxury than the price tag

That's the M&S Apothecary range

I'm nearing the end of my L'occitaine Cherry Blossom but I'm just as happy using Sanex shower gels or Dove Pro Age

Noble isle is nice too
Also if you have anyone off to America, have a look at the Saltair website and get them to bring some back!

I also love the M&S Pink Pepper, they’ve done 100ml of fragrance in a box with the matching shower gel for £12.50 for the last two christmases. I’ve noticed they’ve started selling just the shower gel on its own too, I haven’t bought it yet but I think it was a massive bottle for £6

I find Milton Brown quite drying on my skin. I much prefer soap bars and love the Chanel No 5 one, the Dior and my favourite is Penhaligons. Today I just Juliette Has A Gun soap to try.
For shower gels nothing beats Aromatherapy Associates for real luxury. Clarins is a nice one too.

Clarins Eau Dynamisante

Some of the Molton Brown ones smell gorgeous, some definitely do not. MB shower gels are quite drying though. There are many shower gels out there that are nicer to your skin and smell wonderful.

I like L'Occitane.

pinkpetunias · 02/06/2024 08:20

I love how the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil feels but the smell doesn’t sit well on my skin, it goes metallic. I seem to be in the minority though.

Currently using Molton Brown Flora Luminare which smells amazing but isn’t very moisturising. Think I’m going to try one of the Caudalie ones next.

Yes I have a huge bottle of L’Occitane Almond in the cupboard- used to love it but went off the smell.

my other favourite range is Eves Rocher which you can get on Amazon (or on holiday!) amazing range to choose from.

jaundicedoutlook · 02/06/2024 09:15

I like the L’Occitane shower gel (the almond one and the verbena one) but have found that you can often buy 1 litre refillable packs of le petit marseillais shower gels on Amazon and they are nearly identical but much cheaper. Also buy them in the hypermarket if we’re ever in France.

I love a luxury shower gel, but also very much recommend visiting the Claus Porto shop if you are in Porto or Lisbon!
Lots of my faves have been mentioned:
Jo Malone - wood sage and Seasalt
Rituals- ritual of Sakura
Scottish fine soaps - Au lait
Clarins - Eau resourceante (totally spelled that wrong, but the blue one!)

Villagetoraiseachild · 02/06/2024 09:29

Currently using Weleda shower cream, the citrus one. Delicious!
