Shower gel - best luxury product

Please let me know, have you GENUINELY found a shower gel you love and think yes this is worth £20+? I'm really into luxury makeup and candles but shower gel I don't really know much about

I like Rituals, although I'd rather use a bar of soap than shower gel.

Lots of my friends are skincare aficionados and one is even a beauty influencer and I don't think any of them have touched Molton Brown since about 2004. They all rave about Ouai, Aesop, Sol de Janiero and Drunk Elephant.

Thank you! Molton Brown used to be my mums fancy shower gel of choice so I thought it was quite posh but she's not been happy with the last lot I bought her

You can get a nice selection in TK Maxx as well.

Nice! I'll check it out

I like the Maison Margiela ‘Replica’ collection shower gels, I think I pay €34 for 200ml

I’m using Lazy Sunday Morning at the mo

Ribenaberry12 · 01/06/2024 16:27

I love Molton Brown. My favourites are the Orange & Bergamot and Eucalyptus.

sandorschicken · 01/06/2024 16:41

I used to swear by MB but I've gone off it recently although I do still love the eucalyptus one in winter! I've been using light pink sol de janeiro lately along with the cream & deodorant! I'm really liking that at the mo!

DancingNotDrowning · 01/06/2024 16:58

Molton Brown pink peppercorn is my everyday go to.

I love the new metal pump bottles which means I use far less and the scent really lasts all day

User1979289 · 01/06/2024 17:00

Shower gel is imo much of a muchness as long as you avoid the very cheap ones - but a POSH SOAP - now that makes you feel veryyyyy la dii dahhhh

Molton Brown Orange& Bergamont
Rituals :The Ritual of Sakura

For cheap'n'cheerful Faith in Nature Orange&Grapefruit

DD likes Sol de Janeiro (the yellow one) the bathroom and her clothes smell lovely

I LOVE a posh soap bar over a shower gel too. I treated myself to a set of Claus Porto soaps on a recent trip to Lisbon. They are divine 😍 closely followed by Chanel soaps (I’ve had No. 5, and Coco ones and they make both your shower/bathroom and body smell very luxurious.)

But I cannot use soap because I drop them on my foot and if it's a large luxury bar it bloody hurts Sad

Fair point, I BRUISED my foot this way!

Another vote for l’occitane almond oil. Luxury in bottle!

ThinkingAgainAndAgain · 01/06/2024 08:29

The Occitane almond oil shower gel is absolutely lovely. I’ve never thought it for myself but I’ve had it as a gift and as part of a GWP. I use bar soap, so no shower gel would be worth buying to me at any price, but it’s gorgeous.

I second this, it's gorgeous and, although a bit pricey, it's not crazy expensive.

Is Korres high end enough?

Santorini vine and the lemon and basil ones, absolutely lovely

Happierwithouthim · 01/06/2024 18:03

Espa is beautiful

If you would describe them as "posh" then yes :)

I love Soapsmith and Aesop. Both smell divine.

HolidayAtNight · 01/06/2024 19:00

The White Company make absolutely lovely shower gels.

Retiredearly61 · 01/06/2024 19:01

A bit medical smelling but simply cannot be beaten for the way it feels on the skin is Ameliorate shower cream. Combined with the Ameliorate body lotion my old skin feels soft and supple.
Other than that Elemis Skin Nourishing shower cream

For what you get Korres is excellent value for money

Junetimes · 01/06/2024 19:20

I use molton brown for almost 20 years as it’s just worth it, last so long.
also Noble Isle is lovely.

FinallyHere · 01/06/2024 19:20

Another vote for Occitane almond oil shower gel

Total game changer. I used to swap around all the time, now it's always the almond shower oil.

Parsleysagerosemaryandthymeandbasil · 01/06/2024 19:29

Korres - brilliant value and natural
MB - worth the money but yry them in store first. Some scents I love and some I can't stand. Last ages
Rituals really good
L'Occitaine nice but not as good as MB.
Neom fabulous
