Please let me know, have you GENUINELY found a shower gel you love and think yes this is worth £20+? I'm really into luxury makeup and candles but shower gel I don't really know much about

Rituals foam shower gel is lovely too.

stayathomer · 01/06/2024 14:52

Occitans or Molten Brown- yes, but I’ll be honest, I don’t think either beat Sanctuary, and now Aldi do a dupe of their shower gel which is Gorgeous and feels as decadent!! Enjoy the smells in Molten Brown or l’occitane shop if you go in though- bliss!!!!

SabrinaThwaite · 01/06/2024 14:55

I’ll add the Nuxe Prodigeuse shower gel to the list.

norfolkbroadd · 01/06/2024 14:56

Aesop wins for me every time. I also like Sol De Janiero.

WoodBurningStov · 01/06/2024 15:10

Molton Brown Rose & Rhubard smells gorgeous. I bought the Aldi dupe but it's no where near as good..

Blackcats7 · 01/06/2024 15:18

@movingstars will try that, thanks.

The Occitane almond oil shower gel is absolutely lovely. I’ve never thought it for myself but I’ve had it as a gift and as part of a GWP. I use bar soap, so no shower gel would be worth buying to me at any price, but it’s gorgeous.

I can on to recommend this also it really is lovely.
It last ages too.

gocompare · 01/06/2024 15:27

@Blackcats7 yes it smells like Battenberg cake to me. It's lovely.

onlinedatingscrewup · 01/06/2024 15:27

L'occitane happy cherry wad my all time favourite!

SilverBirch99 · 01/06/2024 15:32

Does the Occitane Almond Oil shower gel make the floor of the shower slippy ?

norfolkbroadd · 01/06/2024 15:36

Lots of my friends are skincare aficionados and one is even a beauty influencer and I don't think any of them have touched Molton Brown since about 2004. They all rave about Ouai, Aesop, Sol de Janiero and Drunk Elephant.

FIFIBEBE · 01/06/2024 15:40

Some but not all of Molton Brown's shower gels are really excellent products. I think the darker shades are more viscous than the blue, green and yellow ones. Slightly above your suggested price point but good deals on QVC or online sales.

L'occitane happy cherry wad my all time favourite!

Does it smell like cherry? I want to try this one but it's so expensive! Is it really nice?

VeryGoodVeryNiceChickenNugget · 01/06/2024 15:56

I wouldn't spend money like that on something I wash down the drain. Spend it on moisturiser for after instead.

Friendofdennis · 01/06/2024 15:57

Heavenly gingerlily by Molton Brown is beautiful as is arran aromatics After the rain Also love Lush Honey I washed the kids, Sleepy and The Comforter although not strictly luxury

TizerorFizz · 01/06/2024 15:58

I avoid Almond - in perfumes and shower gels. I really prefer invigorating ones with fresh fragrances.

onlinedatingscrewup · 01/06/2024 15:59

@gocompare the happy cherry ones now discontinued but it was gorgeous and the fragrance lingered on for hours after.

The cherry blossom one they still do. Which is still nice, more floral.

Nap1983 · 01/06/2024 16:02

I love L’occitane cherry blossom and neroli and orchid are my faves. My DD likes the Sol De Janiero ones, but at a tenner for a tiny bottle i prefer the L’occitane

ilovethesunnydays · 01/06/2024 16:04

Ren Moroccan Rose. Bliss.

I’m a soap bar user, but visited Istanbul last month and the hotel bathroom had this range. Smelt amazing (and very expensive) but picked up a cheap mini bottle of the Eau de cologne at the airport on way home. Wished I’d bought the shower gel and lotion now 😭 can you buy it here?

Rattai · 01/06/2024 16:11

Blackcats7 · 01/06/2024 10:03

Does it smell almondy? I’m thinking this might cure my nostalgic craving for vidal sasson shampoo from the 80’s which smelt like marzipan

I miss that vidal sassoon shampoo so much. I tried the aveda cherry blossom but it's not the same ...

Orangello · 01/06/2024 16:20

MooMinCow, at least online.

Talapia · 01/06/2024 16:24

I like Jo Malone and L'occitaine.
The Mark's ranges are really good and much cheaper.

I actually mostly use a bar of Pear's soap though.

Talapia · 01/06/2024 16:25

You can get a nice selection in TK Maxx as well.
