Every time I walk past the store I get a glorious waft of the beautiful perfumes. Haven’t treated myself in a while so wondered what your recommendations are?

If possible, OP, I’d test a bunch in the meantime, so if any you like come on offer you can grab them.

As Sawira was my favourite, it smelt like a dusty cathedral on an August afternoon in the south of France.

I gather it was a bit of a marmite scent and it’s been discontinued.

Used to be Violetta. I have bottles of Castile and Luna now, plus a small bottle of Halfeti hair perfume but rarely wear the Halfeti as it's a bit loud for me.

I would love them to bring back Cornubia, which I had as bath oil but never felt I was quite grown up enough for the perfume while it was still available.

Love Quercus, have the bath and shower gel of it and it always makes me happy when I use it.

MetaDaughter · 19/04/2024 01:38

Oh, now I’m getting confused! I think Cornubia might have been the first one I was obsessed with. Did that become Jubilee Bouquet? (It’s all so long ago …)

Vaara was my wedding perfume but I’m also prone to stealing a bit of DH’s Endymion…

Sparkletastic · 19/04/2024 07:10

Perfume Parlour dupe a lot of them - Halfeti, Cairo and Changing Constance are all bang on. Halfeti is what they pump out of the shops so start there.

Magpiecomplex · 19/04/2024 20:58

@MetaDaughter I think Jubilee Bouquet might have been Ormolu originally? That was another nice one!

ComfyBoobs · 19/04/2024 21:01

Halfeti is heavenly for the first 15 minutes then becomes powerfully masculine. I’d wear it all the time if I could keep it to the opening notes but mainly it smells like I’ve borrowed something from my husband’s cupboard.

Quercus for me.
