Just wanted to share this find. From sainsbury, only £20. I'm 5ft 2 and the regular are the perfect length when worn with trainers. No gaping at the back of the waist, give my bum a nice shape and then skim over the thighs. I'm a size 12.

I really love them and I've had lots of compliments, got them in both colours. I've been clinging onto my skinnys for dear life. Finally feel like I've caught up.

No gaping at the back you say? Might give them a bash ....... if can be arsed to order four pairs from Argos and return at least three of them.

Ah yes the ordering is a right faff. I bought mine in store, fully expecting to have to take them back but somehow managed to pick the right size and loved them so much I went back for a second pair. I might even get them in the grey/black.

They're quite a heavy denim but they're not stiff at all.

Saw these in store yesterday and was impressed OP - did you like the wide leg ones with the cargo type pockets?

Scully01 · 27/02/2024 10:26

Cheers for this, I'm 5ft1 and always struggle with jeans. Are they quite low waisted? Love a high waist jeans with the mum tum currently.

Talisin · 27/02/2024 11:14

Thanks for this - I was just on the look out for wide legs so perfect timing. I nipped into Sainsburys on the way to work and nabbed a pair of the light ones. Was also tempted by the cargo ones so maybe another day.

@Scully01 They say mid rise on the label, I haven’t tried them yet.

thesugarbumfairy · 27/02/2024 12:37

I ordered some. I'm a size 20 so I'm not sure if these are the right kind of jeans for me, but may as well give it a go!

Abeona · 27/02/2024 13:07

I bought a pair of Tu jeans from Sainsburys during lockdown. They were great to start with but very quickly lost their stretch element and became ridiculously baggy. Hope these are better. Come back to us after a few washes and report, would you?

ElizaCBennett · 27/02/2024 13:15

Just bought both colours! 😂

Bigdoglittlecat · 27/02/2024 13:37

They look too short for me - I’m tall and they look short on the model so probably won’t fit me either! Nice jeans though!

What shoes can you wear with them other than trainers? I have been reluctant to buy wide leg ones as not sure what footwear in the winter when white trainers will get ruined (& wet)

SiobhanSharpe · 27/02/2024 13:39

Are they really wide leg, or flared? Photo on the website makes them look more like the latter. Or that they're wide-ish but also flare out a bit below the knee.

The stores really small so I didn't see the ones with the cargo pockets. Any good?

I'd say mid waisted definitely not low, they cover my belly button and I can tuck my vest right into them (sexy).

That's true actually, I don't know how they'll wash. I don't wash my jeans much but I'll report back when I do.

They do come up short. The regular fit me perfectly and I'm 5ft2.

I'd only wear them with trainers. I've got some black ones and some beige ones too, both wipe clean so I've been wearing those.

They have them in short, regular and long lengths.

I'd call them wide leg.

Oooh thanks OP.

I don't like either of the colours of the ones you've linked to but found and ordered these ones which are perfect shade for me.

Fannyfiggs · 27/02/2024 15:31

Is it just me or do they not look ridiculous at that length on the model?

Is that the length people wear them?

Actually, it's probably just me cos I know if I wore them at my ankle I'd look ridiculous cos I'm 5' 6" but have short legs so they would make me look like I have even shorter legs 🤣 Also, where I'm from I'd get asked if my budgie was deed 😂

Nellieinthebarn · 27/02/2024 15:56

Lovely jeans and I'd buy these if Sainsbury's would either let me log in using my Argos account as instructed, or open a new account as it doesn't recognise my Argos account, but it won't. This account sharing with Argos and Habitat is a complete pain in the arse, but at least its saving me money!

TwoTeas · 27/02/2024 16:04

I can also recommend Fatface Elises for the reluctant late wide-leg jeans adopter.

poorbuthappy · 27/02/2024 16:13

I have a pair and I do love them. But they aren't mid rise in a million years. As per pp they come up past my belly button. I'd love to see their bloody high waisted jeans! I assume they'd cover your face. 😂

theriseandfallofFranklinSaint · 27/02/2024 16:17

Hi @Delait291 I like the look of these to wear in summer with white trainers 😊

I'd have to get a Long (which I hope will be long and not just a bit longer than standard length) but what is the waist sizing like as I've found in the past that Sainsburys are on the smaller size - smaller waists, short tops, etc.

SecondHandFurniture · 27/02/2024 16:23

They're brilliant! I wear mine at least 3 times a week (5ft4 and wear regular leg with platform Converse).

Sleepthief · 27/02/2024 16:26

Sad admission, but I love Sainsbury's jeans...

I've literally just had to retired my absolute favourite barrel-leg ones after 3+ years of fairly constant wear. I've patched them a few times, but finally had to admit defeat. Luckily I had the foresight at the time to buy a pair in a smaller size (which also now fit). Plus saino's are now doing a similar style again.

Anyway, I also have the jeans from the OP and they've washed fine. Also have had loads of compliments. The only thing I found was that the dye rubbed off on my hands after the first time I washed them - somewhat disturbing blue hands on a night out! All fine now. Enjoy 😊

Nellieinthebarn · 27/02/2024 16:40

Right.. sorted the Argos account by pretending to forget my password, resetting it, logging into Sainos, happy days. I will not be beaten. Hopefully, it will still be happy days when the jeans arrive. Now to confess on the frugaleers thread that i have spent £24 on jeans (including postage)
