Just wanted to share this find. From sainsbury, only £20. I'm 5ft 2 and the regular are the perfect length when worn with trainers. No gaping at the back of the waist, give my bum a nice shape and then skim over the thighs. I'm a size 12.

I really love them and I've had lots of compliments, got them in both colours. I've been clinging onto my skinnys for dear life. Finally feel like I've caught up.

I've just ordered 10s and 12 s as not sure on sizing, I'm 5ft2 I think I've ordered the wrong length,

How did you find the fit? I have the paler version and the cargo pocket ones, ,both in size 10 and fit perfectly....I ordered the dark denim in same size and they were way too small! Thought about getting a 12, but wondered if I just got a duff pair?

Sounds like you've had a duff pair. I've got the light and dark denim and they both fit well in a size 12.

I well remember this situation with Next a few years ago. I loved the linen trousers for summer so bought the same size/length but different colours - one a perfect fit, one too small. Arrghh!

Ah, I was in Sainsbods yesterday and pondering over these precise jeans!
I wasn't sure though... the waist looked very big to me. Can anyone comment on the waist size?
I'm a 16, but a big arsed one, so when something fits my bum it's often huge on my waist and I hate lots of thick denim hanging around my middle.

Wow, regular are the right length for you at 5 foot 2?! This seems odd but I really appreciate the recommendation. I am 5 foot 5 but with short legs and struggle to find decent wide leg jeans at an affordable price, and usually need a short length and a bit of stretch. I found gorgeous m&S 1970s style ones (a new release last year) but they sold out instantly

I have these and agree they are a nice fit and at 5'4 the short is perfect on me. But. The first wash they did that thing where they kind of folded in the washing machine and now have deep washed creases in them....so they're basically ruined. Maybe it's just poor washing on my part but I'm annoyed!! Why does this happen?!?

I get a lot of things that seem to get ruined after the first wash these days. Usually not jeans, though, it's more often woollens etc.

Is it just me who hates the styling of the dark pair? I think the look they've given the model is hideous. Anyway, thanks for the tip, OP.

I bought the lighter colour too...haven't washed yet so will turn inside out and see how it goes!

Ugh, I just checked their size guide and it seems they are claiming a 27 inch waist is a UK size 6 🙄

The model is definitely wearing the wrong leg length - she's 5ft 8 and needs a long. They're flapping round her ankles giving them a weird shape.

I believe it's called "crocking", happens to chinos too and I think it might be because the fabric is very stiff and then gets abraded in the machine in its folded state, leaving those lines. I started washing denims on the delicates or wool programme (something with as little agitation as possible) and so far that's ok!

OP thank you for recommending these. As a 5 ft 2 size 12 I ordered them, they arrived today and fit perfectly! I got the dark blue but may order more 😆

It's because the long is only 30", the regular is 28" and short are 26". I'm 5'5 but need a 30-31" leg with heels, so these jeans are really very short!

Size 10 is usually a 27 or 28 inch waist, and definitely no bigger than that. So too small, it's almost two sizes out and that's even accounting for today's vanity sizing.

Size 8 in H&M and Next is a 27 inch waist. Size 10 in M&S is a 27.5 inch.

Anyway there's no way it's a size 6.
