I don't think the VB eyeliner is that special

Have I really missed the point? I was excited to use it - got the ash grey - and it's... a perfectly fine, standard eye pencil with nothing at all to write home about. In fact, I think it blunts and smudges a bit too much - it doesn't 'hold' the sleek eyeline I start with so I have to smudge.

Should I be doing something specific to get the benefit or it that it?

I bought two before my holiday last year. Having used them now for a while I'd say they were ok but nothing special. I bought them primarily because you could use them on the waterline as well, but the staying power didn't seem good. I wouldn't repurchase.

I have got Avon Glimmersticks and they are great but can't be used on the waterline so on the back of a previous post in this thread I'm going to try the Kiko ones. We've got a Kiko store in the town near us so I'm going to have a look at the colours/texture before purchase.

Where Are the Kiko liners available to buy please?

I forgot to add to my general disgruntlement about the VB liner the smudger end snapped off inside the lid so when you open it now there’s nothing there as it’s trapped in the lid 😂

Hmmmmm, Pixi is a bit smudgy, doesn't stay put like all the reviews said it would be I don't even have oily eyelids.

I ordered two of these.

Exactly the same thoughts as above.

No definitive line and smudges so badly I've got pandas eyes by lunchtime.

My £6 Avon glimmerstick is by far better.

Disappointed

I’m glad you’ve posted this, I was just about to press the button on the order
I’ll save my money I think and go for something cheaper

Another vote for Kiko. I have the pencil (as opposed to the automatic one) and it’s the best eye pencil I’ve bought. It’s cheap, the metallic brown is gorgeous, doesn’t smudge and stays put all day. It’s easy to sharpen. I’d never fork out on VB. I have a Chanel one and it’s shit.

Rimmel Wonderswipe is excellent although I don’t smudge it. It’s very easy to apply and do a flick and it dries so that even if you haven’t used powder it doesn't transfer onto your upper lid. The bottle doesn't last very long though.

I find the Pixi endless silky eye pencils to be excellent and they come in a lot of colours. I’ve got my eye on the sage gold shade at the moment. There’s a lot on Vinted for quite cheap as I think they’ve been included in advent calendars/beauty boxes.

@Orangeslemon I have it and do use it every so often, but it’s much too smudgey and transfers too easily for me - leaves me with panda eyes, which doesn’t happen often.

Far prefer the classic, Clinique Cream Shaper for Eyes.

I am also disappointed. I got two for myself and two as a gift.

I bought one in the cocoa colour at the end of November and was using it happily until recently when it needed sharpening and it just wouldn’t sharpen - became unuseable but i complained to selfridges where I bought it (online) and they gave me a full refund. I loved it (I prefer a smudgy line) and find that it smudges really well and then stayed put all day for me. Just wish it would’ve sharpened!!
