What woman and man would you describe as truly beautiful?

And who would you describe as pretty? We were chatting about this at work today and I'm interested to see what everyone else thinks. My nominations are Brad Pitt and Cheryl Cole for 'pretty' and Jonny Depp and Penelope Cruz for beautiful. We also got onto the subject of supposedly pretty people who we think aren't - I'd put Victoria beckham in this category - she's vile!!

I think Kate Hudson is very pretty, Natalie Imbruglia is beautiful, and Mischa Barton and Eva Longoria are highly over-rated looks-wise.

Johhny Depp, the young Marlon Brando and the young Paul Newman are all beautiful. I've never 'got' Brad Pitt, I think he's so bland and splodgy looking.

Kristin Scott Thomson is lovely and Tilda Swinton, too.

DH says this lot are truly beautiful: Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Sade (the singer), Beyonce, Keira Knightley. he is also absolutely crazy about the pouty, bitchy black haired woman in Corrie who used to be in Dream Team and thinks she is stunning.

ooh now Keira Knightley is one of the not pretty ones IMO. Her face is too flat, her body is asexual and she's got a weird mouth - it kind of hangs open in a gormless way or does that horrid manic grin.

See, I don't think helena Christensen is beautoful at all. I think she is insipid looking. Same with most of the supermodels, with the exception of Naomi Campbell, who is stunning despite being a Grade A arse wipe.

jude Law is far too effeminate in my mind to be 'beautiful' as a man. He is a pretty boy. A beautiful man is a young Pacino, to me.

It's hard to separate looks from personality or an attitude. Some people seem to be able to exude the impression they are more beautiful than they are by the way they are iyswim.

Yeap, young Marlon Brando was stunning. Shame about the later version. A true example of how beauty can fade!! Oh god have just had an awful vision of an old fat johnny depp, still with remants of those fantastic cheek bones, but with the rest of his face hanging off them like lard !!
