God I've got so many functions, not bought anything new this year though so can't tag anything.

I've ordered this for my Christmas party. It's a stunning dress but I think it might be too much for our smart/casual dress code. The men will be wearing dress trousers, tie/jacket optional. Is this over the top?

It's definitely over the top - or more appropriate for a three course dinner disco type off party but if it's just a meal and a few drinks smart casual I'd choose something else.

Or - wear it proudly but accept it's ott!
