I'm not sure what I fancy - possibly something teal coloured but looking for inspo :)

To my Christmas party I'm wearing this River Island dress which was BNWT from eBay £14 bargain! I'm going to remove the 2 belt loops & belt. The wrap shape suits my figure but a belt doesn't.
I need to wear these New Look tights as I have thread veins showing despite fake tan. (I'm too short for maxis).
Also wearing a pair of black shoes from Boohoo, a black & gold River Island bag & gold jewellery.
The idea this Christmas party is to blend in rather than stand out as I'm overweight & feeling a bit low after losing my mum so I just want to go & be with friends and have a nice meal & dance.

Love it.

They have a TON of similar, equally gorgeous dresses too. Never usually recommend Amazon for clothes cause they can be shite, but these are surprisingly decently made.

These are my party dress pics! The long red one is from House of CB (but I think it does emphasise my mum tum, so I wouldn't wear it unless this was feeling not bloated).

The second two satin dresses, black and red are from Quiz Clothing (and are currently on sale). I find them super flattering and comfortable.

Am normally someone that wears black for everything, but I wore the red version out to a festive get together last night and got so many kind words from friends and even strangers! I think these dresses are really easy to wear.

Not at all teal but this is mine. I've got at 80's themed works Xmas do but figured this would do for other occasions too.

I’m 48 and 5’7” size 12. Have a handful of drinks things to go to and so am mixing new and old in a sort of uniform for them all. Already have the Cardigan below in sparkly blue and one in sparkly green. Am then buying two bias cut satin midi skirts in blue and one in green to match. Pairing with suede heeled boots.

I’ve got two one from a charity shop (ombré) and the other from tkmaxx (dark purple) so spent £45 which I’m happy with

… however, having seen @PomPomSugar ’s post, I now have serious dress-envy, so might have a rethink!

I've got 3 boozy Christmas nights out planned. Got this for my works do. Only going to the pub but don't care, it's Christmas!!

Last minute ASDA dress for my work party after I panicked about my previous choice being a bit inappropriate. Midi length on the model, ankle length for me because I'm very short.

I'm 5 foot nothing, weigh 8 st 3 lb which I find is a 12 in most places. Checking the length it'll be about knee length on me. It fulfills my requirements of no glitter/sequins, no full sleeves (I get too warm), ability to wear a normal bra - never got on with strapless etc.- and not shaped/clingy over my middle. I'm early 50s with post 3 kids, post menopause tum, so nothing too fitted in that area.

I've only just ordered it, hopefully I'll love it when I try it on. 🤞

I have two that are completely different.

One black and silver mini dress from The Vampire's Wife which I've had for a few years and always pull out at Christmas and then this
tulle mini dress but in lime. I'm probably too old to dress in tulle but I love it 😀

These are Christmas party dresses not Christmas Day cooking the dinner dresses!

This River Island dress is what I would wear to the Christmas party if I had a good figure., I really like it!!
