I'm 50 and would wear it in the evening when out. Does it look old/frumpy or quite stylish?

What do you think of this bracelet?

It says 'Claire's Accessories' to me.

Pixie2015 · 30/09/2023 17:23

I love Claudia Bradby pearls so natural - I like that bracelet too x

Katrinawaves · 30/09/2023 17:25

I’m 54 and quite like it as a concept - but agree with @MariePaperRoses that it could look quite cheap and plastic if the pearls aren’t of decent quality.

GreenBag53 · 30/09/2023 17:25

I like it! (53 year old here 😁)

Jellycats4life · 30/09/2023 17:28

I love pearls but I think those ones look like plastic costume jewellery, mainly because they’re so big.

OnAFrolicOfMyOwn · 30/09/2023 17:33

Too blingy for me.

MarshmallowsOnToast · 30/09/2023 17:35

Not feeling it, sorry

NeedTheSeaside · 30/09/2023 17:37

I think if they look like 'serious' jewellery they look dated, they look 'ok' as an accessory rather than 'jewellery' though

How are you defining frumpy?

openallday · 30/09/2023 18:06

I love pearls but not these

chickstock · 30/09/2023 18:14

I like it. Where is it from?

Splash80 · 30/09/2023 18:21

Hobbs

Freshwater pearls just say "can't afford better quality pearls"

I'm amazed that's by Cos. It could be Claire's Accessories. Nothing wrong with Claire's Accessories, but they're a different vibe.

This. Pearls look nicest when they look aged and slightly cream. Like the Queen used to wear. 😂

Seconded or possibly thirded.

Perhaps because they don't know what they're talking about - given so many threads declare something is "dated" followed by a flat out contradiction. Even when something like Vogue or the serious fashion writers are lauding an item an expert on here will still say it's "dated"

smallshinybutton · 30/09/2023 18:38

NatashaDancing · 30/09/2023 18:31

That looks every bit as cheap as it is.

I quite like the OP's one. I'm always sceptical of MN declarations of "dated".

Same. "Dated" "frumpy" "old" all need defining here.

smallshinybutton · 30/09/2023 18:39

Anyway, I like the bracelet OP as a general rule but I personally prefer non round pearls
