I'm 50 and would wear it in the evening when out. Does it look old/frumpy or quite stylish?

I’m 54 and quite like it as a concept - but agree with @MariePaperRoses that it could look quite cheap and plastic if the pearls aren’t of decent quality.

I love pearls but I think those ones look like plastic costume jewellery, mainly because they’re so big.

I think if they look like 'serious' jewellery they look dated, they look 'ok' as an accessory rather than 'jewellery' though

Perhaps because they don't know what they're talking about - given so many threads declare something is "dated" followed by a flat out contradiction. Even when something like Vogue or the serious fashion writers are lauding an item an expert on here will still say it's "dated"

Same. "Dated" "frumpy" "old" all need defining here.

Anyway, I like the bracelet OP as a general rule but I personally prefer non round pearls
