I'm 50 and would wear it in the evening when out. Does it look old/frumpy or quite stylish?

What do you think of this bracelet?

Good grief if you wanted real pearls that size you’d have to be royalty and unless OP is actually Camilla these pearls are great

I actually think they look lovely for evening out and I'm under 30 if that matters. Style is so individual I don't get these comments about being "frumpy" which as someone said above roughly translates as "I wouldn't wear it so will label it such to make the opinion more than it is, just an opinion." Basically, if you like it, go for it.

I think it very much depends what you’re going to wear it with, in the picture it looks like it is paired with a 1980’s power suit. I’m not sure that look is in at the moment.
it could look boho with more jewellery and bracelets etc
what look are you going for?
I mean it’s a pearl bracelet women have been wearing similar bracelets of beads/pearls for millennia so no way can it be dated

This. You can like or hate it but "dated" is meaningless.

I actually really like it OP. I don’t think it’s frumpy at all (I am 35 so not bang on trendy gen z type but I assume gen z isn’t the look you’re going for anyway?).

Andylippy1 · 30/09/2023 21:04

I like it, looks classy

Olika · 30/09/2023 21:16

I actually like it

Lentilweaver · 30/09/2023 21:18

Not to my taste.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 30/09/2023 21:49

They're not bad. I have quite a few different types and strings of pearls from over the years. Possibly next year or the one after they'll be height of fashion and people will be falling over themselves to get them.

Wear what you like. Other people's opinions aren't all that. Especially so as you get older-free yourself from it. Sometimes it happens that people are just inexperienced and pulling opinions out of their asses, anyway.

BeretRaspberry · 30/09/2023 22:02

I really like it. Might get one myself!

Cheesecake53 · 30/09/2023 22:06

I like it!

isitme111 · 30/09/2023 22:20

I love the COS ones

TheFunSponge · 30/09/2023 22:24

I love it and I'd definitely wear it on a night out.

ItJustFellOutLikeWordVomit · 30/09/2023 22:27

To be totally honest I don’t love it, if you were one of my close friends I would give the honest opinion of I don’t want you to pay Hobbs prices for something that looks like you got from primark, if you love it go for it buttt….something similar that won’t cost a bomb because I don’t think it’s something you will love forever x

ItJustFellOutLikeWordVomit · 30/09/2023 22:28

Also don’t know if it matters but I’m 31 x

whatausername · 30/09/2023 22:51

I like it, not frumpy.

My high fashion daughter who works in advertising, recently wore an 80's pinstriped suit and statement pearl earrings, for a friend's wedding. Apparently the
80's are back!
