this is an American link because I can't get Schuh's to work as a link, but I got these here in the UK from Schuh.

of course, my sister laughed her arse off and said they were fug and my mother did one of her sighs again.

No, I really did have those clogs, Ob.

And I still have my Keens and some Chocos, but they don't see much use here.

In Boulder, they were all very fashionable.

I'm sure if I went to Boulder in those Sketchers, people would compliment and ask where I got them.

Boulder has many Birkenstock wearers.

And in winter, Birks with fleece socks .

Yes, including men!

Oooo, lapin. Are those the shoes that make you have better posture and help you lose cellulite whilst you walk in them?

I like the sound of that!

I've seen the Chung trainers, but not the sandals.

I must start playing Lotto again!

Does your sister also think you are beyond salvation ?

expatinscotland · 05/03/2008 15:40

I think she's holding out hope, Ob, but in her heart of hearts she gave up on me long ago, back in the 80s, when her nickname for me was 'Boho'.

I never ever take her advice when it comes to films.

She has horrible taste in films.

She should suffer all my horrid shoe choices as penance for the number of times she dragged me to cinemas to see awful films that she found 'funny' or 'good'.

Although, she did thank me when I dragged her to see 'Dangerous Liasons' on opening night - this film was not originally a mainstream release and premiered in art house cinemas.

Climbing isn't extreme, it's just loads of fun and pretty safe for the most part!

Rambling and hillwalking, well, Henry David Thoreau said it best, 'Heaven is beneath our feet as well as in the skies above us.'
