I want to smell like A luxurious hotel lobby

You walk into a sophisticated hotel, jazzy music playing, no harsh or bright lights but dim, soft lighting and that spicy, sexy smell hits. Does anyone know what I mean? Would love a perfume that smells like that for nights out during winter. Any recommendations? I only have fresh, clean ‘green’ perfumes but getting bored of them.

Hermès Ambre Narguile meets all the criteria apart from "sexy" . I'm not sure what that means but pretty certain I don't want a perfume that's "sexy".

I was thinking this. When you check in at the Plaza NYC they actually have a scent bottle on the desk that you can squirt if you like.
The moisturizer that they give you is a matched scent as well.

How about Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir?

Honestly, try this sample set and pick any one of them - although id say that Cairo is exactly the smell you describe.

May I suggest Oribe Cote d'Azur, it's maybe a bit more of a summer time vibe but to me it does capture the idea of the Hotel Cap du Eden Roc!

Jazz Club is gorgeous!

Jo malone myth and tonka may fit your bill? I always feel luxurious when I wear it

I think that M&S Apothecary range in 'Warmth' has this vibe. (It's supposed to be a dupe of Le Labo Santal 33 - not to my nose, but very pleasant). It's available ( although often sells out) as an eau de toilette as well as candle, diffuser etc for room fragrance.

I've heard Le Labo Santal 33 described this way. I'm a big fan.

I don't know if it qualifies as hotel lobby but I love Diptyque Fleur de peau and I have never had so many compliments on a perfume, I've had strangers come up to me and ask me what I'm wearing and then get me to write the name down.

As mentioned by others I also love the very pricey Le labo santal 33 although I'm not sure it smells that nice on me, but I have the m and s warmth which is meant to be similar and for a tenner it's a bargain!

(I bought the Sanderson hotel room spray after walking into the lobby and thinking the smell was amazing! It is lovely but not quite the same effect in my house 😂)

Jazz Club is nice.

I actually like quite a few if the Maison margiela scents and enjoy their descriptions. My favourite was lipstick on, which reminds me of my mum getting ready to go out. Sadly discontinued, but I still have some, tucked in my knicker drawer next to her actual last perfume.

Le Labo Rose31 is used by Fairmont Hotels
Le Labo santal 33 is used in Schrager hotels. This would fit your brief, smoky, leathery and a little dark.

I once stayed in a luxurious, 5-star hotel in Tunis that smelled absolutely wonderful. They had citrus trees growing in the lobby so what I could smell was orange blossom/neroli.
All their toiletries were scented with neroli too.

I like the fragrance The Ivy uses. If anyone knows what it is, please share!
