A really killer jumpsuit for my 40th

Turning 40 shortly and having a big birthday party. I want to wear a really sharp jumpsuit/outfit for my party. Would love some ideas to broaden it out for a killer party outfit for the occasion. Any suggestions?

General outlines: my style is more androgynous/structural/dramatic. I rarely wear dresses. Nothing "pretty"; I'm way more likely to wear a waistcoat and wide-legged trousers than a floral dress. My hair is currently like the attached picture, although NB that's NOT me; I have dark hair and eyes. I'm short (5'2"), and wear a size 8 overall. Good arms/abs/shoulders which I'm happy to show off. Budget... aaargh... let's say £250? Basically, I want to look eyecatching and dramatic and edgily stylish. So, you know, no pressure. :)

I'd go for a tux. no shirt, glitzy bra

Sexy l, timeless and a bit edgy

I'd definitely look at Nancy Mac, I've been eyeing up the Sable jumpsuit for years www.nancymac.co.uk/collections/jumpsuits-1/products/sable-jumpsuit-in-deep-red-silk-velvet

This is stunning

You can, ahem, have your crotch dropped by a tailor if you find something you love but the fit is a tad short. I did this with a tux-style jumpsuit and it's still a great go-to for a flash night out, so well worth the extra few quid for alterations. (I need increasing quantities of tit tape to wear it these days though).

Ohhhhh man, someone posted this on another thread, and I would love it in jumpsuit form. I wonder if my seamstress could make it into a jumpsuit?

"Just wear it as a dress." I just wouldn't feel like myself in a dress.

I doubt it, I think the trousers would need more fabric than the skirt.

The Topshop backless red jumpsuit just arrived, and the legs will need shortened, but I can confirm it looks the biz 😁

That's brilliant! Photo??

I'll try and do one when DH is home to help. I got the 10 because the 8 was sold out 😭I think it needs taken in, but my seamstress can handle that.

This is pretty cool if you decide you want another: https://www.theoutnet.com/en-gb/shop/product/gauge81/jumpsuits/jumpsuits/one-sleeve-ponte-jumpsuit/1647597325458488

So after some deliberation... I was forced to admit that the Topshop red jumpsuit was just too big 😥and it threw off the lines that made it. Smaller sizes all sold out. So I will be wearing the rainbow Topshop Halpern suit - I know it's not to as many people's taste, but it makes me feel partytastic and like I'll hit the eye like a firework.

Now I need earrings! And also to figure out what to use to support my boobs a bit - the top of the jumpsuit has some boning but it's not really sufficient. Tit tape? Stick-on cups? I despise underwires, so a strapless bra is out.
