What do you think of this bridal set. I'm wondering if the pink is a bit childish.

These would be for me, already long time married but looking to upgrade our rings possibly.

Very pretty, morganite is a lovely colour and not at all childsh.

DustyLee123 · 04/08/2023 07:47

I don’t think the pink is childish, lots of people choose stones other than diamonds, but I think it looks a bit blingy. But if you like it, go for it.

prettydesertflower · 04/08/2023 07:47

I think it’s really pretty! I love pink. If you like it go for it. You are the one who will get to look at it every day.

becarefulofyourheart · 04/08/2023 07:49

It’s a blush pink rather than a Barbie/Claire’s pink, I don’t think it’s childish. i was expecting to hate it from the OP but I don’t. It’s unusual but I think I like it. Depending on your skin tone it might be quite striking.

Doingmybest12 · 04/08/2023 07:50

I like the stone, to me it doesn't look pink really. I love stones in a kind of washed out colour. It's a personal taste thing though.

LadyBird1973 · 04/08/2023 07:55

I like it too. Have you done the virtual try on?

Quietdaytoday · 04/08/2023 08:11

Yes I did the virtual try on. It looks lovely imo, but the photo made my hand look all tanned and nice. I'd have to try the rings on I guess.

I know absolutely nothing about jewellery, but I saw this and thought the rings were beautiful.

No, not a huge fan. A bit garish with the "silver" colour and pink stone. Also, looks like a wee mole / creature in that photo 😁

PearlHandle · 04/08/2023 08:16

I love the colours.

User839516 · 04/08/2023 08:32

Big jewellery fan here and agree that it’s beautiful. But it only really matters that you love it - jewellery is very subjective. Morganite is a gorgeous blush colour and not at all childish/garish in the way that pink sapphire can be (for some people). Morganite looks beautiful set in rose gold too if that’s something you would consider.

Mouthfulofquiz · 04/08/2023 08:35

It’s okay - but can I implore you to look around some antique or second hand jewellers first as you would be amazed at what you could get for £1200!

Pinkitydrinkity · 04/08/2023 08:36

I think it’s pretty - if you really love it then got for it!

HermioneWeasley · 04/08/2023 08:39

I’m not a fan of the wishbone shape and those little stones will be forever falling out. I love morganite though and have a big morganite ring set in rose gold which is lovely.

ArcticBells · 04/08/2023 08:42

It's lovely but I'm not keen on v-shaped wedding rings as they never look good if worn alone.

With a budget like that you could get the stones and a local jeweller to design you something.

i got my ring designed once I’d bought stones and I love it. Have a look at gemstones online - this is where I bought mine - they have morganite

This is who I used - love him he’s awesome

ColonelRhubarbBikini · 04/08/2023 08:46

It’s really lovely. I didn’t think I’d like it from your description and then I clicked the link and said ‘Oooh’. I will say though those wishbone rings are the nemesis of tights and snagger of anything knitted or delicate.

WonderingWanda · 04/08/2023 08:47

I think it's lovely. It really depends on your colourings though, just as with clothes. If it suits your skin tone and hair colour then go for it.

LadyBird1973 · 04/08/2023 08:48

My eternity ring has little diamonds and none have ever fallen out. I think you'd want to see it in real life before buying to check quality though.

BotherThat · 04/08/2023 08:58

It’s lovely but please do go and search out second hand / antique / vintage jewellery or find a jeweller to make you something bespoke - you’ll get way more for your money than buying from H Samuels (or any high street jeweller).

Nsky62 · 04/08/2023 08:58

Go vintage!
personally I don’t like white metals

peachgreen · 04/08/2023 09:17

I love morganite. I wanted that colour for my engagement ring but was worried it wouldn't be hard enough so went for a padparadscha sapphire which is the same colour but ridiculously more expensive. I regret it now, should have just gone for morganite!

Mine is set in rose gold which I think is nicer than white cold with the stone.

MzHz · 04/08/2023 09:24

The issue with white gold is that it goes dull after a while and needs re coating. I went for platinum Because of this, but it is a bit more expensive.

LadyPoison · 04/08/2023 09:27

Morganite is getting very popular and is very pretty.

That is an overpriced set though. High Street jewellers offer poor value for money.

YoSof · 04/08/2023 09:28

I agree that for that money you could get much better diamonds in terms of colour and clarity.

The I under clarity means “included” so it will have lots of inclusions/marks - it’s basically low quality.

The pink is lovely, but do shop around.

Fightwithmyface · 04/08/2023 09:58

I think your worries about them being childish are spot on op. It’s not really the colour, more that they’re a bit cutesy and fussy.
Add to that the annoyance of them spinning around your finger and not slotting together properly all the time.
Personally I’d go for something simpler and more elegant.
