Has anyone suffered from Plantar Facilitis and found some really comfy shoes. I'm on my feet all day in Healthcare but I also go outside so Crocs not suitable and they have to be all black.
It's sheer agony! :-(

I have had success with Asics and Fitflop trainers.

BestIsWest · 02/08/2023 22:00

Fitflops Rally trainers cured mine. I’m convinced Skechers caused it.

AgathaX · 02/08/2023 22:00

Fitflop trainers.
Is horrible, isn't it?

thenightsky · 02/08/2023 22:00

I found some horse shoe shaped gel inserts in Boots that worked perfectly and I could use in my regular boots and shoes.

Have you asked for an OH assessment? You may need workplace adaptations, to give you a chance to recover.

We don't have OH where I work.

A few people have said that to me. My last pair of Sketchers killed my foot after just one shift..

I work in healthcare and have found my toffeln smart sole shoes incredible for my plantar fasciitis

sonjadog · 02/08/2023 22:04

Are you allowed trainers? If so, black Hoka Clinton worked for me. I also have ecco shoes which stop the pain for me.

Plantar fasciitis night splints worked for me. Also fitflop trainers and Birkenstock sandals. Orthotic insoles are great, too - reasonably priced on Amazon. Good luck!

UnicornStarfish · 02/08/2023 22:07

I have a great suggestion the thing is if you think Crocs are ugly these aren't going to be much better... My doctor recommended MBT shoes, the ones that rock.
Otherwise fitflops, asics, vionics or orthotic inserts in regular shoes.

Birkenstock

Mullingthediy · 02/08/2023 22:14

I’ve been suffering for about six months. I’ve watched all the Bob and Brad YouTube videos. I’ve paid particular attention to stretching my foot before getting out of bed and doing the alphabet exercise. They say it takes about a month to repair. I’m about three weeks in and am noticing considerable relief.

I no longer walk barefoot, got a pair of slippers from Sainsburys with arch support and ensure I put them on as soon as I get out of bed after stretching my foot.

I bought some nice comfy cream sandals in Pavers yesterday. They had quite a lot of black ones to choose from too.

Thelondonone · 02/08/2023 22:19

Vionic shoes, strive sandals. I wear vionic slippers. I wear valsole in all other trainers but rarely as my adidas super are still too flat. Never go barefoot-ever! Use a bell and I found a stretch board helped a lot.

Thelondonone · 02/08/2023 22:19

*ball or frozen water bottle to roll your feet

Which Asics ones please?

They are Asics GT 200 11. I went to a running shop and they assessed my needs by putting me on a treadmill, I tried a few on before deciding on these. They have been great but unfortunately they aren't at all waterproof so I'm going to need something else for wet weather

The fitflops I have are the ones with wobbleboard technology . I have slippers, sandals and trainers.

AzureBlue99 · 02/08/2023 22:21

Fitflop Rally trainers are the most comfortable trainers ever

Thethingswedoforlove · 02/08/2023 22:22

Fitflop anything at all. I have their trainers and sandals and slippers and winter boots and casual boots and work shoes. The lot. Apart from trainers to run in i only have Fitflop shoes and they have totally cured by PF…

medianewbie · 02/08/2023 22:22

.

Allsizes8to14 · 02/08/2023 22:24

Another fit flop vote here, total game changer discovering them, even have their slippers now!

ThirtyThrillionThreeTrees · 02/08/2023 22:25

Brooks runners....the best by a long way and strongly recommended by podiatrists.

My podiatrist says sketchers are brutal & don't help at all.

PatrickGammon · 02/08/2023 22:26

Omg this thread. Thank you. I've had PF for about 2 weeks now and it is agony. Havent heard of Fitflops but I'll defo be investing in a pair.
